LINK

Summary: Dude makes shoddy claims that LSU somehow perpetuates captive Tigers living in shite conditions by adopting the cats and giving them a home. A truly brilliant take, if only because it's so illogical that it's fabulous. A real idiot.

So LSU is the bad guy for taking a tiger from a bad place, and giving him a luxurious life?

Liberal logic at its finest.

You shouldn't give his article any publicity.

Yeah it's a bad idea to publicly discuss things you don't like. Okay guy.

What a retarded dipshit.

The fact that the lower-tier facilities are sub-standard is a reflection on them, not LSU.

That's like saying we should quit the foster parent program, because they feed off of broken homes.

Seriously, is this moron able to feed himself and breathe on his own?

Please tell me he's not procreating.

That's the analogy that immediately came to mind.

Is it just LSU fans distinguishing between Mike the Tiger and Mike VI? Who and what the hell is Mike the Tiger VI? [sarcasm]

Mike VII will be treated like a king, or queen, raising awareness for all species under pressure by poaching, loss of habitat and habitat fragmentation.

Geaux Tigers.

Surely he's gay and/or a cuckold, so, in all likelihood, no reproduction for him.

Great, just post a blind link. That way everybody that wants to see what was said has to click it. Dude gets more visitors than ever and starts bashing LSU and its tiger on the regular for the clicks and raises.

Are you him?

Sorry it pains you to click the link. Do you always avoid reading source material or did you just spark-notes your way through your degree?

Summary: Arsehole says arsehole shite about our tiger(s).

It's more like buying a dog from a dog breeder that treats the dogs poorly instead of adopting a dog from a shelter. You shouldn't give them the business.

If we are buying tigers from poorly run zoos and giving them the money to stay in business, we should cut that shite out.

But that shouldn't be an indictment of our keeping a live tiger. We treat Mike very well and there's nothing wrong with having a live tiger mascot.

I miss the days when Deadspin was all about being crude, offensive, and hilarious. Now it is just a garbage SJ mouthpiece. I don't need freaking Jezebel to give me my sports news.

the top rated comments are all on LSUs side

these are all different people...

Are you saying that if they can’t rescue all the tigers at one of those shitholes, they shouldn’t rescue any?

This just means, though, that while he lived a good life, he did so—because of LSU—at the expense of the tigers and other exotic animals he left behind.
Nope that’s not how that works.

Okay, so... they should stop taking tigers out of shite places to live in a far better place with expert care where they far outlive their previous lifespan?

There are some serious logical fallacies going on here. The places that the Tigers were adopted from don’t exist because LSU is willing to adopt from them, first of all. Second, what would happen to the cats if LSU didn’t adopt them? They wouldn’t go back to the wild that’s for sure, and if LSU’s care is on par with a top zoo, what’s the fricking problem? It gives at least one tiger a better life than it would have otherwise

So if these backyard shite pits exist—and if the LSU tiger care “program” is an objectively better care facility—then the university ought to be raked over the coals for its rescue efforts?

Can’t blame LSU for adopting tigers legally (non-AZA) which contributes to their veterinary program.
I adopted a greyhound, so if the people that used to race him were bad owners, then it’s my fault for giving him a home after he retired.

it was posted on reddit and the posters there are saying much of the same

You don't seem to understand what he is saying. This douche makes his money based on clicks. You come here and tell us that he is saying stuff that will make us mad. Instead of posting what he said you post his link, giving him more clicks and money. You are doing exactly what that douche wants.

Nobody here wants to drive up his clicks.

But that isn't what happens at all. LSU doesn't pay for the tigers.

Please tell us what shite "we" should cut out.
