It might be. I just remember that phone call that morning on my way to work. That 2011 defense was suffocating. Damn eat every team we played brought in their backup QB just to see he could do anything different. What a fun defense to watch.

First time in many years that I felt like our D was going to hold and dominate our opponent, especially in the last quarter. Mid way through the 3rd quarter I could feel our D had their number.

I get the 2011 defensive hype as one of the best, BUT I gotta give 2019 the BEST D ever at LSU given how they finished the season.

18 million dollar roster.

Their DL was absolutely stacked with first round draft picks with top to bottom. Our DL is pretty damn good but I’d argue that the LBs and DBs are the biggest strength of our defense.
