I understand that. However I don't believe O is locked long term should this fail. Taggert may still be around.
Let's see what happens before we all melt down? I like the attitude and swagger the team has been playing with and with the exception of a couple mistakes by Guice would be locked into the Sugar Bowl.
I doubt O is the long term solution (I'm willing to be proven wrong) but he might be a good bridge until a better long term candidate is ready for the job. Hell, that might be Aranda.

And they all know what's best for the team. They can whine and be smug and satisfied if it goes wrong and they can simply say, "Glad I was wrong" when it doesn't. Oh, and college football is easy and LSU should be going 15-0 every season. The fact that LSU is the only P5 program to have a winning season every year since 2000 = LSU football is a total disaster.

I was a posiMiles guy until the end of 2015 season. It was a difficult reality to change my tune, when Miles was let go it created a sense of relief and hope.
This hire was so bad that I cant comprehend how this series of events unfolded, we knew we were firing Miles at the earliest opportunity.
So for the love of God, let it have more than 24 hours to accept that we have a coach that is not employable as HC at any of the other 116 programs. Much less an SEC school, much less one of the better programs in the conference..it is hard to fathom.
I will be the first to admit I was wrong, and I will pull for LSU to win every game, I do not want to be right...time, and O, will tell.

Don't know if anyone has mentioned this already, but it is EXACTLY like the whining liberals in this country right now. Most of the minority of LSU fans who opposed CEO and "lost" this battle, while unhappy, have continued on with their lives. But a small segment of that minority is now parading the streets (this board) and shouting from the rooftops how miserable life will be. It's a small but loud segment of sore losers who just won't shut up.
