If aTm or Arkansas hired Ed Orgeron the SEC board would be flooded with troll posts from LSU fans laughing at this coaching hire. You know it and I know it.
LSU makes this hire and it's the best hire on the planet.
Every fan, no matter the school, and yes, even LSU fans should be critical of this retarded coaching search and the inevitable hire of a DL coach.
It was a joke of a coaching search. Pure and simple. And it was a bargain bin hire.
If you guys are fine with it, then go play with yourselves in a corner. But, leave me the frick alone. Because you are living in make-believe land. In regards of this being a good hire, you have nothing to stand on, as in concrete statistical data, other than "give the guy a chance."
That excuse just isn't good enough pumpers.

We've never been a top ten program before, so obviously O will use us as a stepping stone once he wins 12 NCs.
Taggart is a guy who left his Alma Mater after he rebuilt them and rebuilt another program. He's going to be a star. We should have hired him this cycle.

that argument would make sense if the alternative was somebody with a track record that isn't O's
i agree, but O has had that "stepping stone" job and utterly failed at it

Sure.
Principally I'm annoyed we deviated from the pattern of success that worked very well for us. There was no reason to, especially given the fact that O wasn't going anywhere.

Clueless against Fla? Really? His game plan had LSU marching up & down the field and absent PLAYERS mistakes, we could have easily rang up one of the best defenses in the league for 30+ points. As for clock mismanagement, please give an example. I will give you proof of how well he managed the clock as had Guice not messed up & scored, Fla. would have had absolutely no time left. He managed that last drive perfectly, clock & play calling wise.
