Seems like a big drop off after Randle and Beckham. I didn't even notice Shepard after the first quarter.

He got balls thrown his way, but they just weren't as easily catchable. I think we're fine at WR position and it's just going to Shepp another week(against UK) to get back up to game speed.

Boone, Wright are both solid options. Shep...I just don't know anymore. I really want this guy to succeed and make huge plays for us but...

you typcially only notice 3rd, 4th, and 5th receivers on a pass happy team like the Saints or even West Virginia. LSU is not a pass happy team in case you haven't noticed.

We threw 28 passes. That's not "pass happy" but it ain't Georgia Tech either.

Shep made one great catch..
he had 3 balls underthrown, but would have been big gains...

I love Shepard but I think a better receiver would have slid down to catch the low throws (ala Clement on the TD pass) instead of trying to make finger tip catches off of his shoelaces. Love when he gets the ball in space but he still has lots of work to do to be a big time receiver. Where was the pitch play for him?
