If Hilton had been able to hang on to the pass on the last play, the Heisman race would be over.

I did not blame him. The defense lost that game.
It was a contested pass, not an easy play.
All I’m saying is that if he had caught it, the Heisman race would be over.

The point I’m making not to blame Hilton. It’s that Daniels for the ball down 6 with 39 seconds left and if Hilton had hung on to the ball it would have been a quintessential Heisman moment and the race for the trophy would be over.
Not blaming anyone. Just lamenting what might have been.
Sorry that upset you Mrs. Hilton. Didn’t mean to disparage your son.

I played WR. The ball hit both of his hands. As bad as the defense played, LSU wins with an expected catch.

Exactly. A 25 yard bullet on the last play of the game to beat a top 15 team. That would have been a huge Heisman moment.

Have to agree. I was taught anything you can touch you can catch.
