Things that interest me more than watching LSU run the Bubble screen.

1.Reading the back of a box of cereal
2.Going to work on Saturday
3. Listining to a child cry
4. Learning Chinese
5. Watching any Ull sport
I wish LSU would ban it from the play book.

It typically gets 5 yards. However, running it 20 times in a row is annoying. But, winning is winning.

Reading 5,000 post complaining about the bubble screen.

Complaining about a top 5 program nationally for the past 12 years!

I like the bubble screen. We ran it very well in 2007

If it is effective why don't you like it? It's a high percentage play and it was executed well. I really hated that HB dive that Hilllard gain 141 yards on. Throw it out the playbook!

As annoying as it was, it set up that nice 40 or so yard sluggo catch by Landry. That seems to be Miles MO. Run something continuously and almost endlessly. Just when the defense starts to take those for granted, he PAs off of it or does some kind of gadget play. But I do think he waits too long for things like that

Yes, it's more effective when you don't run it every pass play and have every CB and safety sitting on the line of scrimmage expecting it

I don't remember it working well against SEC defenses but I could be wrong.
I'd rather watch 2 girls 1 cup

That's the problem. We an that play another 10 times in the NCG and Bama destroyed them every time

Have to agree w/ you. I'm sure that play would work if occasionally run, but it's a staple of the offense. Seems to me to be risky, w/ the risk not worth the gain. Any other old farts out there like me, do you remember the screen passes (to running backs) the Dallas Cowboys ran in the 70s? I would love for Les to get ahold of that footage, it might give him some ideas. I know it's the first game, and, obviously 41 pts and 500+ yards is great, but I'd love to see some throws to the backs out of the backfield, and to the tight ends, in SEC action.
