I'll go with a slurred, drunken comment about the correlation between the improvement of play at the QB position and the decrease of melanin at the QB position.

You must hang out in the geriatric section because no one complains about the band or the student section around us.
Early 40's is not geriatric. And being proud of your university, your great band, your great history and traditions, and even your student section, is not exclusive to fans over 50.
And I guess no one complains about hearing "suck that tiger dick" or "a-hole, a-hole" because it makes LSU look like Hooterville.

There is a difference in pride and whining because things aren't like they were in the old days (when they were actually pretty bad.)

I'd prefer that to drunks constantly fighting in the stands and the constant flow of people out of the stadium in handcuffs.
But, yes, college kids yelling profanities in 2011 is much, much worse than adults assaulting one another in 1988.
