They are raking them into the scoreboard and out of the stadium consistently. They have hit more HR's into Left Centerfield already, which is almost the furthest part of the ballpark, than I can ever remember for an entire season.

It is crazy how we are hitting 2.3 Home Runs per game compared to the 1996 team that hit 2.6 per game (that really was a wild season)

Thompson had a couple cheap ones before today. Bianco had one sneak out. There are a few more I can’t remember from the doubleheader Saturday. 15-20 mph and warm helps. 21 is a lot and I like the approach. It’s much better than previous years. Bregman could have feasted in these conditions.

I’m being honest. 21 is a lot and it’s great and has a lot to do with a better approach which I’m loving. But that doesn’t mean the weather hasn’t helped a few. Would be disingenuous to say otherwise. We set heat records with that south wind.

I went back and looked at the HRs from Saturday. Doughty’s walkoff went over 400 ft yet was only hit 97 mph. That’s how hard the wind was blowing.

the point is I don't care how cheap the homeruns are.

It guess it's better to be arguing over the "validity" of our homeruns instead of how we can score more than 2 against Southern.

All of them are valid!

I’m not saying otherwise. I’m just pointing out the totals are helped by the weather. It’s not usually this nice this early. It’s still way more than we’ve had this early in a long time and the approach and talent are integral to that. That was my only point.

I feel like the wind balances out though. In the past it seems as if we've had 2-3 homeruns a weekend brought back in by the wind. It owes us

Either way, I love the approach at the plate. We are clearly taking a more analytical approach (higher OBP, HR totals, K rate) than the past, and it's working.

If this is the one from Saturday, I have a tough time thinking it went 402. It hit the LF bleachers and came back into play. That’s not 402.
