Since you are so wrapped up in last year, just something for you to ponder.

Bama moved the ball well and stalled in the Red Zone, which was a problem for them all of 2018.

2018 Bama Red Zone- Ranked 64th in the country at 82% scoring and only 68% TD's on their Red Zone appearances.

2019 LSU Red Zone- Ranked #1 in the country at 97% scoring and 79% TD's.

You like stats I see. This is a big difference between Bama 2018 and LSU 2019. We finish drives.

Clemson will have their hands full, this year.

Bama only stalled in the red zone 1 time in the Natty until the game was 37-16 and it was over. Then they had 2 TO on downs in the RZ due to desperation. They didn't lose the game because they were "settling for FG" or whatever like OSU did. They lost the game because Clemson's offense dominated.

You know who also finished in the Red Zone? Ohio State

59/75 ended in TDs (78.6%)

LSU? 55/75 (73.3%)

Whoopsies.

Really? So you're happy giving up 30+ points and 400+ yards in several games this year to teams that don't have great offenses? Dude, don't be satisfied with mediocrity. You need to demand better.

Just to help our Clemson fan out, Clemson scored 29, 24, 38, and 62 points against the best 4 defenses they played against based on SP+ for an average of 38.25 and is over a point better than the 37 points per game LSU averaged against the top 4 defenses they played. The thing is that the SP+ rankings of the best 4 teams Clemson played were 1, 24, 29, and 44 while the rankings of the defenses LSU played were 2, 4, 6, and 7. LSU put 50 on the second best defense Clemson played and 63 and 58 respectively on teams with better ranked defenses than the 4th ranked defense Clemson played. Also, LSU at 19 will be the second best ranked defense yall have played all year long. The only top 25 defenses you played all year held you to under 30 as did the 54th ranked defense you have seen. That happened once all season for LSU.

Ya'll gave up 38 to Texas and 41 to a crippled Tua-led Bama. LSU will need to score 50 to win this one.

Tua is good but you are blind if you believe their offense sucks. One of the best receiving groups in the country.

Our D had the problem of not playing complete games till the last 3 games.

BTW we can and have put up 50.

Also, Texas is ranked 11th in offense according to SP+ and 15th in ppg. Pretending that Texas can't score and doesn't have a good offense is stupid.

Only game all season that LSU had more runs than passes was Utah State (49/41)

Wrong.

Bama game 40 runs to 39 passes.
Auburn 46 runs to 42 passes.

Fla was 24 to 24. We ran 48 plays and got 42 pts!

GA was 36 runs to 38 passes.

We are very balanced unless a D is giving us lopsided opportunities in the secondary to pass all day.

Just to confirm: you expect the #1 scoring defense in the nation to hold LSU to 1 point below their season average and give up the most points since 2013 vs FSU. Ya'll realize that a healthy Clemson defense is a bit different than a bad OU defense that is missing 2/3 of their starting secondary, right?

List the offenses you played in the regular season and look up where they were ranked. If you weren’t ranked this highly, it would mean your defense is total trash.

Look at what you gave up to the first offense with a pulse that you played this season, just 2 weeks ago. Over 500 yards. Realize that LSU is better on offense across the board, especially in the passing game.

Look at your common opponent with LSU and the difference in scoring both ways.

Yes, we have concrete, factual evidence for our confidence. Do you, from this season at least?

Auburn got pressure with 3 a lot of the time.

Yeah, but one of those three was Derrick Brown. Clemson doesn’t have a guy like that this season.

So you were spending your time on an opposing team’s message board while watching your team in the NC?

Coming into the CFP, OSU was averaging 1.0 more PPG and 24 less YPG than LSU with a better SOS than LSU. So yeah, they were talking about their "one of the best college offenses of all time" too.

I have to give you credit for good red zone defense, but Dobbins getting hurt is the ONLY reason you won that game. He was eating your defense alive and the game changed as soon as he was slowed. Their backup is a true freshman bruiser who wasn’t up to the challenge of that game. Fields being hurt and unable to run was also a huge factor. You won’t have these advantages vs LSU.

Dude, don't be satisfied with mediocrity.

Someone whose team plays a schedule full of cupcakes recommends not being satisfied with mediocrity. The irony. Heisman trophy winner, Maxwell Award winner, Davey O'Brien award winner, Thorpe award winner, Biletnikoff award winner, Coach of the Year, Broyles assistant coach of the year, Offensive Line of the Year award winners...THAT is mediocrity? A third of our defense was injured the majority of the year, including the games you referenced. I'll let you look at the stats yourself to see when they were all back. If you don't want to look it up, you'll see for yourself Monday night...we comin'.

This guy is right. If they hold us to 16 points and score 44, they will win.

I've been telling everyone this since the SEC Championship when we were being told Georgia was the best defense we will face all year. My question, was can they rush 4 and get to the QB and drop the rest in coverage?

You are spot on, the only way to beat our offense is to rush 4 drop the rest in coverage, and rely those 4 to get to the QB.

Auburn had the guys for it, and held us to 28 because of it. I don't see any similarities in Clemsons defense to Auburns.

Pretty much. Burrow went 32 of 42 for 321 yards and picked up another 47 on the ground. Also, LSU had a 95% win probability based on the Connelly's advanced box score.

Wrong. It's the PREVENT defense. It prevents that team from winning the game.

So the 2 defenses that compared most similarly to Clemson were UGA and Auburn. LSU averaged 30 and 495 against those 2 teams. 23 full drive and 7 total TDs for a TD% of 30%. I would expect something pretty similar in the Natty.

Okay troll, for the last time, this isn't last year and LSU isn't last years Bama.
