Yeah - and we would have likely gotten there (in this a year which most experts picked us to finish 3rd in the West) if not for some killer injuries during the Bama game coupled with some horrible officiating.
So what the heck is the problem?
Are you serious? Miles is the reason we were and will continue to be picked 3rd in the West. Alabama was starting a new QB and for the most part, so were we. Why then would we be picked 3rd?

So the only time Miles we beat UF and Bama is when they have a down season. Thats refreshing

very few hate miles. most feel, however, that he is the 3rd best coach in the SEC, and we have to play the 2 best coached teams every year, and we may not ever beat them again.
So are you trying to say that there is a middle ground between hating Miles and worshipping Miles? Thats just silly.

I would look at Saban's bowl and SEC Championship game record and state that he's overrated as far as game prep and in-game adjustments.

We may not have to worry about SECCG and bowls if things keep going downhill because of,

clock management and discipline

IMO discipline is a problem primarily with the offense...We didn't see this when Jimbo was here. As good as our stats were in 2007, we had way too many illegal procedures, guys not knowing where to line up, false starts, etc. That is all on Crowton and Stud.
And I agree that Les needs to really make an effort improve his clock management...it has been flat out awful at times.

LSU has had 25 players drafted by the NFL in Miles' tenure.
Were they highly recruited when they got here? Most of them, yes. But somebody's been coaching them during that time enough that NFL teams like their development and want to give them buckets of money.

What say you with 2 losses to end the season?

I would be disapointed if we suffer another loss.
But I feel like we should beat both Ole Miss, Arky, and whatever shitty Big 10 team we see at the Cap One bowl.

That is totally irrelevant. Only a small percentage of college players ever get drafted. Of that number, only a small percentage actually "stick" in the NFL. Out of that number, only a small percentage are "top players" on their team.
But I'll humor your weak argument. Starters and consistent contributors on their teams, just off the top of my head:
Joseph Addai
Andrew Whitworth
Jacob Hester
Laron Landry
Kyle Williams

I think a case can be made that he outcoached Saban at least the last two games.

A pretty easy case, actually

+1
And to say that Miles is at the middle of the coaching pack in the SEC is just plain stupid. I guess I missed the other 4 or 5 SEC schools besides Florida that have won a BCS Championship and have won consistently over the past 4 or 5 years as much as Miles has. Could use some improvement? I think you could argue that they all could. But to say he's in the middle of that pack of coaches is just ridiculous.

Fast forward to the Tech game last week, and LSU barely hung on and, quite frankly, should have lost.
Stop it.
