Is Dave Aranda. I’ve watched way too much TV and read so many articles on this game this weekend that my head is about to explode. It’s all about Clemson’s DC and how amazing he is. Nobody even talking about DA. Aranda finally has the defense that everyone predicted we’d have it just was not complete until the Arkansas game when Mo Hampton started and Delpit could start doing what he does best. So this is actually the 5th game with this lineup. I’m sure Aranda has some crazy arse shite dialed up and the LSU Defense will get major credit for this win.

Completely underrated and will be the story

Without a doubt more top end talent and real maturity at all levels with this defense

Peaking at the right time

I find it interesting that NOBODY outside of LSU is talking about Divinity's return and potential impact on the defense

Pretty sure everyone talked about Michael Divinity’s return the minute this matchup was decided. Meyer, Herbstreit, even First Take talked about it.

When you are crushing the other team by 20 to 30 pts late in the third or fourth quarter....and the opposing team still has there first team offense against our 3rd & 4th string defense who is gaining experience...

That is what the media focused on...Watch....no more sand bagging on offense or defense tomorrow...

It will be a beautiful thing...

I think Aranda wants it bad. This is why he left Wisconsin. He wanted to prove he is the best and WIN.

Araanda is probably disrespected. He also has had the benefit of coaching against this offense all season. Aranda is going to make a lot of money tomorrow night.

The return of Micheal Divinity is massive. He’s not going to play every snap but he’s another experienced and athletic pass rusher. Credit to Mike too. He made a mistake and could have gone to the NFL but chose to come back. Credit to O for believing in him. Aranda is absolutely being missed. He’s gonna call a great game. I think Queen and Phillips are playing excellent football too. Jacob Phillips has made 85/88 tackles.

I think this is it. If he’s who everyone thought he was leaving Wisconsin, he’ll prove it tomorrow. 2 weeks of prep, a healthy team, a ton of momentum. Hope the defense is lights out

Well to be honest we didn’t have our 3rd and 4th strong D in with big leads late in the game. As of matter of fact the starters were still in a lot and it was mentioned on air quite often.

There are several “X factors” I can think of.

O-Line being the top. Can they dominate the LOS and handle a 3-5 rushers all night? Silly question, yes, but if they can impose their will, it will open up the next X-factor in the equation.

CEH. Much like the Alabama game, I can see him being the true offensive MVP in this game. Whether running or assisting in pass protection, he’s going to be one to watch (as always). LSU’s ability to run tempo without subbing is incredible, but when needed, you can plug in one of the other three backs we have and never miss a beat.

I don’t think there’s much to say about the passing game because it is what it is. It’s ridiculously good.

I can see this game getting out of hand like the Alabama game was at the half, only this time, I think the defense is going to be in much better condition to shut down whatever Clemson can come up with.

LSU has what Ohio State lacked: a killer instinct. I hope like hell this game is ugly and lopsided.

THE "x factor": Burrow has yet to have three full weeks to study his victims.

Reliable Sauce: Aranda used all the time we spent with leads working on all kinds of new and different schemes to see what could work in the future if needed. They caused us to have some struggles that we wouldn’t normally have. After watching the games since Ole Miss, I think it’s safe to say it was a smart move.

I was just thinking the same thing. The media hasn’t said shite about Aranda and his defense. That’s ok. They’ll be talking after tomorrow.
