i'm not necessarily arguing with the "safety" stuff, but if we extend your argument, shouldn't this mean that all football players also should lose their scholarships? there is no money coming in so what about that entitlement?

No.players should get an extra year if they want. It's no fault of theres if they dont play. I believe a few players will enter the draft when season is cancelled
