The 2025 run was a complete fluke and this year proves it with many of the same players still on the team

One of the stupidest fricking things I’ve read here in a while. Be proud of that accomplishment

2025 was a fluke with 2 of the best pitchers in college baseball who are now dominating in double A ball? Lol

One of whom came up in the program and the other who improved a lot in quality and especially length from the beginning to end of the season. Also, anyone who ignores the Shores reclamation and how key he was to that run is a fricking irredeemable casual.

Damn, this thread is full of retards. Pretty amazing.

You and I don’t always see eye to eye here, but I know you know LSU Baseball and respect that, even when I don’t agree with you. 75% of this thread is just spoiled casuals shitting informed foolishness and alter trolls doing what they are always allowed to do here.

There’s no conversation or reasoning to be had with any of these window-lickers, man.

Sort of like we did with football and basketball? There’s a reason why when the program is in the dumps new coaches and players is the only answer.

And the chief alter shithead appears

Football has 30+ returning players

Which means we have 60+ new players this season.

We’ll need to turnover 2/3 of baseball roster as well to get out of the SEC basement.

Pearson Clauss Rizy Cooper Williams Garcia Caraway

I’ll bet you $1,000 Williams isn’t pushed out by the staff. A sophomore slump isn’t going to do that. Maybe he leaves on his own; but I don’t think the staff dumps him yet.

I’m not as confident about Rizy, but I think they will try one more time with him.

Jay wants to develop freshmen, but Clauss not playing any is concerning. I’ll put that at 40-60 if they have any belief in him. Maybe this comes down to roster numbers.

If Pearson is willing to accept not being a starter, I doubt he’s shown the door unless there’s a numbers crunch. We could do a lot worse for a PH and serviceable backup 3rd base. He may leave on his own to start at a smaller program, though.

I would put Garcia and Lach together. Neither has been as good as hoped and I’m sure both got decent NIL deals. I could see one of the pair being told to hit the bricks to free up money for the next portal class.

100% agree with Caraway.

I would add Noot. Why pay him an NIL deal when he’s barely been playable in the midweek this season?

Watching Skenes win the title in 2025 was pretty awesome.

Subtle sarcasm. Skenes did not playin 2025 AND he didn’t play in the three game championship series in 2023.

There will be between 17-21 players from this roster back next year. That’s with 9 of 38 current roster guys out of eligibility and 2 likely heading to the draft. If you think there will be more, then you are a casual and don’t know shite.

It’s sad that this has went multiple replies and none of yall have realized that Skenes was not on the 25 team. He was on the 23 team. Goodness gracious.

Been down that road.

For him, 23 doesn't count because we had Paul Skenes (who didn't pitch in the finals) and other good players.

25 doesn't count because we simply "got hot and weren't that good."

You know there's more to player development than just working with the freshmen... right?

And damn, you don't even know WHICH freshmen you can count on to return next year. College sports is the "pay players because they deserve it" and "the players should be able to leave because coaches do it all the time" and because of that, you can't bank on anyone to be here next yeah.
