Let's take a stroll down mammory lane, shall we? Hard to believe this weekend will only be the 53rd meeting between these two teams, given all the weird shitt that has happened.

2017 - after losing to their neighbors to the south in a hotly contested LSU homecoming game, LSUs following home game against Auburn was in the eyes of many, a game where an LSU coach could lose his job against Auburn for the second year in a row. However, rumors of the demise of the O era at LSU was greatly exaggerated, as LSU came back from a 9 point half time deficit to win 27-23.

2016 - after winning the game 19-18, the referees screwed LSU in jordan-hare (as they are wont to do) and LSU loses to auburn 18-13. Miles is fired 12 hours later, the O era begins.

2015 - Leonard Fournette takes the first offensive snap 71 yards. He embarrassed literally every defensive player for auburn that day, as heisman hopeful jeremy johnson apparently was not very good at QB.

2014 - on the heels of a valiant comeback attempt, Brandon Harris gets his first start at QB. he proceeds to remind everyone he is a true freshman as Les Miles suffers his worst margin of defeat, 41-7 in an arse whooping that was actually worse than the score indicated.

2012 - an LSU team that would finish off the season 10-3 fights to the wire with an auburn team that goes winless in SEC play, again highlighting the fact that whatever joojoo is at work, it works really well with regard to LSU traveling to jordan-hare.

2010 - Cam Newton, inspired by his fathers ability to get a new roof for his church, ran for a career-high 217 yards. He basically won the Heisman that day.

2007 - DemetriusByrdIMakeMoneyYouCantSeeMe

2006 - game number 2 of while I will always hate this stupid team and their stupid faces. LSU gets hosed for the second time in as many visits to Jordan-Hare. A potential national title run is thwarted by refs in Jordan Hare.

2005 - Jon Vaughn, one of the most decorated SEC FG kickers of our generation, misses 5 FGs, including one in OT that made Tiger Stadium erupt. One of the loudest cheers Ive ever heard was that night in any game I've attended.

2004 - The game that truly fuels my Auburn hate. I can't even discuss it. The only solace I take from this game is that a 13-0 Auburn got left on the outside looking in as USC waxed OU 55-18.

2001 - Originally scheduled for September 15, the game was moved to December 1 because of the September 11, 2001 attacks. The rescheduling resulted in an SEC mini-playoff. Auburn, having last played at Tiger Stadium for the infamous "cigar game" was stomping on LSU’s midfield logo during pregame warmups. Auburn kicker Damon Duval got into an altercation with LSU marching band members. After this incident Duval did not make another field goal that night. Auburn has not won at Tiger Stadium this century.

1999 - After a 41-7 arse whipping of LSU, Auburn players and coaches smoked cigars on the field at Tiger Stadium. If you had any reason to still be indifferent about this stupid program, I can't help you.

1996 - LSU defeated Auburn 19–15 in a barn-burner of a game. No seriously, there was a fcking building on fire on auburns campus, their equivalent to the PMAC, known as "The Barn".

1995 - "Nix to Twillie"

1994 - Jamie Howard threw five fourth quarter interceptions, including 3 pick sixes, in a performance that would make even Jarrett Lee blush.

1988 - "The Earthquake Game"

I did as you instructed and just took a stroll down mammory lane. Good advice, btw.

Wife is looking at me weird and just told me I'm bad in her cute little accent.

Now where were we with the thread?

If memory serves this was Tom Ritter's coming out party.

It would be weird if the 3018 game was called the when LSU finally has a offense game.

2008 game. Two top 10 teams at the time that both ended up sucking.

Jarret Lee throws his first of many pick 6s that year on a screen play, which truly was one of the worst pass I have ever seen by an LSU QB. Then he goes on to throw the game winning TD.

why did you not include the 2013 game? We were auburns only loss that year up until the national championship game.
Hill had 3 first half tds in the rain.

lol I should have included that if for no other reason than, of all the great teams we have seen lose in Jordan Hare (2006, 2010, 2016), Jarrett fricking Lee won there. so O can definitely win there.

I guess it goes to show you that there are many more weird games in this rivalry than I included.

That 2006 game makes my blood boil. The replay official was not only an Auburn alum, but a big booster for them as well.

Thanks. She most definitely is (a keeper), and will be an LSU Tiger next year.
