The Wade scandal and the College Admissions Indictments

This board is lamenting our basketball coach being caught up in a scheme to pay players to come to LSU and play basketball for a year. Most appear not to care that Wade may have been cheating.
At the same time, a Boston grand jury is indicting people for paying up to six million dollars TO GET INTO ELITE COLLEGES.
Many, if not most posters here could care less about LSU becoming an elite academic institution. And maybe we'll have to keep paying kids to come here.

Those two things have absolutely nothing to do with each other.
Duke is an elite academic institution. Do you think Zion went there for free?

Just listen to any congressperson talk and you know that many of these so-called elites are not producing brainiacs.
Sheila Jackon Lee received a diploma from Yale. I never want LSU to be that level of elite.
