You should have fought them. You let us down more than the team.

Tulane fans are the same way. They get their arse handed to them every week, but when LSU plays Alabama, the come out of hiding with their anti-LSU shite.

What must it be like to be so bitter and inadequate that you're forced to root against your neighbor's sports team? I'm a 3rd generation graduate of USL, and I just can't defend it anymore.

MOST of LSU's 'faithful' are bandwagon jumpers. Everyone loves a winner, even if is Alabama.

Riddle me this, WHY should I root for LSU? I didn't graduate from LSU, my kids didn't graduate from LSU, none of my friends graduated from LSU, I didn't work at LSU. What must it be like to be so inadequate that you really care what team someone roots for?????

Get real bro. Bama will simply re-load. Wake up and smell the coffee---LSU needs to worry about its problems now, not speculate about how Bama will be when Saban retires.

It's annoying that New Orleans and Lafayette have a noticeable anti LSU vibe.

The anti LSU vibe as you put is brought on by the 'we are better than you' attitude, bow down to us attitude, know your place attitude, we are 'LSU' attitude, etc. At least in my opinion

If you are a native Louisianian
and you are a 100%, all-in, Row Tahd Bama fanatic, I would only ask "how in the everloving frick can you look at yourself in the mirror? What the hell happened?

Makes absolutely no sense to me...

This is really sad to hear as Acadiana, in my opinion, is a lynchpin of Louisiana charm and a really neat part of the state. It's annoying that New Orleans and Lafayette have a noticeable anti LSU vibe.

How do you feel about Tulane or ULL?

No.

Where in the hell do you come off calling 'most' of LSU's faithful 'bandwagon'?????
LSU is in the top 15 % of U.S. universities in number of alumni. Even in the lean mid 70s and 90's, LSU was in the top 10 in attendance, and many yrs in the top 5.
Your opinion is monumentally incorrect.

Really? Have you ever traveled to other parts of just THIS state? Most of LSU 'faithful' can't even spell LSU. You got your Troy Landry's, your Duck Commander bros, etc. I had a client meet me in Jennings a couple of years ago to go on a fishing trip. He needed an out of state fishing license. Walmart was picked because it was next to I-10 and easy to find. He was blown away by the Violet and School Bus Yellow wearing people in Jennings of all places. Had a homeless guy bum a cigarette from me last weekend. Had an LSU had on. No Lie! Every Podunk loves a winner, even while on crack.

I was traveling out of town on business and I brought my LSU shirt to travel home today. No one made comments but I really didn't have the stomach to put up with any talk about how poor we performed AGAIN against Bama. People can call it an obsession but I would like us to beat them at least once in 5 years. I'm glad I had the business meeting before the game because there were 5 Bama fans involved in the meeting and it was the topic of the meal.

So your examples somehow magically = the 4.5 million residents of this state and an alumni base that is in the top 15 % of all American universities - a fact you seem to have glossed over....
Go spill Skoal drool on your checkers board...

I've been in Lafayette the whole weekend visiting family, and I wore my alabama hoodie today. Went to Pat's restaurant in Breaux Bridge tonight to listen to Jr. Lacrosse(family has a camp here) and I only got maybe one or two weird looks.

I was surprised no one said anything to me.

You mean Pat's in Henderson? What are they going to tell you after that arse whipping? Even the Podunk bandwaggoners know for the most part when to keep their mouths shut after a game like that

Yeah, I remember in the 90s I couldn't go anywhere in Louisiana without seeing Dallas Cowboys gear everywhere. Now I can't seem to find it anywhere.

I couldn't find any Alabama gear anywhere either... until 2008 after LSU lost.

If they want to root for Alabama, Auburn, Dallas, New Zealand Rugby, I don't give 2 craps.

But it does seem like South Louisiana has too much self loathing.

They jumped ship from LSU to Alabama. Why? Because everyone loves a winner. Its how LSU got to many 'fans' to begin with in Louisiana
