I agree. LSU and Bama are head and shoulders better than anyone else and should play for the NC. It is neither teams fault they are in the same division and should not be penalized for that.
Even though I believe LSU will beat Bama again I also realize Bama is the only team good enough to beat LSU and I think that is why some LSU fans are nervous about the rematch. If Bama fans were in our shoes they would feel the same way. Just think if Bama wins by 3 and wins the NC is that really fair? No, but who said anything in life is fair except maybe the Occupy Wallstreet group?

Nice going ESPN BCS poll. Alabama, and all who are still also trying to make our proud 2011 LSU football team a bunch of chumps. You guys have the Characteristics of intelligent people living a style of sophistication that is nothing more then a low down way of fixing the game as a means to steal. Nice going guys. If that's the case, then why aren't they playing for the SEC Championship? Even with a play off system, it doesn't guarantee the two best teams will play. Live with it bro

However, there are many who would not concede that Bama is a better team than OSU, myself not included. If they beat OU, they have a gripe.
That said, if it is to be Bama, bring it on.

Mischaracterization. Bama is not penalized by being denied a shot at the BCS. They had their opportunity and they lost.

It is not a given that the Big 12 is inferior to the SEC this season. There are some really crappy teams in the SEC this season.
The goal of the BCSis not to put the two "best" teams in the championship game. The goal is to put BCS #1 and BCS #2 in the championship game. That's it. End of story.

You are the worst hypocrite. First you say forget the side by side comparisons then in the next paragraph give a side by side for "outgaining LSU blah blah blah".

Bama had their chance. Let someone else have a shot.
Nov. 5 was pointless if Bama gets to play for the NC. Beating Moo State, Georgia Southern, and Auburn shouldn't "earn" you anything. Beating LSU at home would have.

Well shite!!! Seems like even if LSU beats Bama again there are still going to be a bunch of idiots that think Bama is a better team. This is why I do not believe there should be a rematch . . . All those misques in the 11/5 game are part of the game and cannot be discounted.
Les Miles took his medicine for his poor clock management in the past. It is only fair that Saban take his medicine for poor decisions regarding field position vs. long field goal attempts.

Actually, methinks not ... at least according to the BCS. When the two best teams are from the same division and conference, I'm not sure it matters under the letter of the BCS "law", the way it's written.
Apparently, the BCS intended for the two best different conference teams to play, go figure.
I don't give a damn who we play January 9th, LSU will bring it.

Just off the top, would this qualify as uncharacteristic mistakes to you? You act like LSU played its best game of the year and Bama played its crappiest! We used to hear that Les was winning with Saban's recruits, now you are bitching because you lost because of ONE OF HIS RECRUITS (the kicker). Jarrett Lee's just 2nd interception of the season; first since Week 3 vs Mississippi State. LSU hadn't turned the ball over in any of its previous 5 games. The Mississippi State game was also the last time LSU had a turnover of any kind. LSU entered the game with only 3 turnovers all season, fewest in the country.
