Because you're cognitively deficient?
LSU has players worthy of a tryout. Namely Henry, Marceaux, and Cabrera. Two of them aren't throwing competitively this summer and Cabrera played on Team USA last year.

It’s not always the “best players” that are on the team either. There are coach favors that go and they also construct an actual roster to compete, so take that into consideration as well.
If you’re the 5th best SS in the country you might not get an invite, but you might go in the 1st round. I melted at some of y’all and your treatment of players, and this is just another one of those pathetic sky screamer/don’t understand how things work moments for the uneducated to rant about.

I’m not saying this is a factor, but CPM was coach last year, and he was very generous to his own players, specifically Hess, Duplantis, and Cabrera. I’m not saying those guys were unworthy, just that they got the benefit of the doubt. It would not surprise me if this year’s coach would go the other way even IF we had guys who were serious candidates.

I don't disagree with this. I've thought about that as well. I think the decisions Mainieri made for this summer essentially prevented that from having to be a consideration. I doubt that was intentional though, just a consequence of trying to get each individual prepared for next season.
