I make every game I go to considerably louder thank you very much, when skyler green caught that pass against UGA in '03. I got knocked off my feet and threw a 97 oz. rum&coke in the air, people were going ape-shtt, i'd like to see that happen again.

Not every student gets a ticket, in fact, most freshman don't, which is a travesty.

I was in the student section because I was naturally a student for the 03 game and it was the rowdiest I've ever seen it. I hope this weekend can come close to that kind of intensity because we have our backs against the walls again that usually breeds intensity from the fans. This is the type of game that the student section should be crazy for. I won't be in the student section but I'll be in the Upper Deck getting after it.

I hear this crap all the time. I sit right next to the student section and it has been the same since 1998. BTW, '07 Florida was as loud or louder then '03 Georgia.

Actually, it was pretty awful in the early 90s. And I was a student then.
All these "Back in the day" folks really don't know what they're talking about, and I've been going to games since the '70s.

The vulgarity in the student section is absolutely pathetic, not to mention beyond immature. The university has already taken away a few cheers, the next logical step is to take away ALL cheers and only play the Alma Mater and pre-game. Hopefully we can straighten up and have some class so this won't happen.
As far as the student section being weak, this season we haven't played anyone at home so far. I fully expect this Saturday to be rocking.
On another note, sororities/fraternities having their own tickets is complete and utter BS. Anyone who wears a dress or slacks/tie to a football game should not be allowed in. I know a million other students who would give their left arms and legs to get a ticket, and then you have these assholes who see football games as another one of their social events. Take that shite elsewhere, it does not belong in Tiger Stadium.

Last time I was in the student section was for Ole Piss 06 and I was somewhat dissappointed, no volume to speak of until right near the end (but the team needed it the most at that point) maybe that was an anomaly? Not sure. But the students that made the SC trip this past week

Personally, I think that's completely the wrong approach.
If the Administration doesn't like how folks are acting in the stadium, start throwing THEM out of the stadium, rather than throwing out the school's long standing traditions (i.e., Tiger Rag).

You mean college kids are doing this? Seriously, this is insane, college kids will be college kids. It is part of the game and why take it away? So what if they say a few curse words.. We are not at church we are at a football game...

I'm not saying that they will take away all cheers, im just saying that it needs to get better before they do start taking drastic measures.
It doesn't leave a good impression of us when you can hear it on TV, or have first timers in the stadium.
