The picture of it on the ground has been shown on here at least 10 times
Not sure about the picture as the one's I've seen haven't been that clear when posted.
The video is what clearly shows the ball hit the ground and bounce up a little.
But for fcks sake, it wouldn't have been an int anyway so can we move on!!?

are you saying had it been ruled an int they would have reversed the call?

I'd love to know the body part he thinks is between the ball and the ground
It would have to be a body part that is as thin as a piece of paper.

That was , more likely than not, an interception.
I agree with you.

Skip to 5:20. Incredible play, I really think he picked that ball off

Even if it never touched the ground, it touched the wr while he was put of bounds. It was not an interception.
If you actually watch the play Johnsons foot doesn't hit out of bounds until Stingley has full control of it, so that is incorrect. The only way it isn't an interception is if it hit the ground. Top Billin Film study of Stingley vs Texas

Even in that image it looks as if his arm is under the ball and there is space between the ball and the ground where I drew the yellow angles. Couldnt actually draw a marker of the space between the ball and the ground well with my fat fingers. From the other view of the sideline the ball seems to stay off the ground and you can see Stingley pulling it up to his chest/body with the right hand. Based off the images seen it doesn't look like it hit the ground to me. People are just speculating and denying it because it's an unbelievable play. There's no view that definitively shows the ball touching the ground.

Wait, Daryl Stingley is his GF.
The Boston receiver that George Atkinson paralyzed?

I can’t believe anyone is arguing otherwise

That is the best picture and when you look at it and the video in slo mo back and forth there is never a picture of the ball touching the ground.
People are interpreting the shadow as if they can see the ground and you can’t.
I believe Stingley intercepted that ball. Not that it matters of course.

The image clearly shows the ball on the ground. The shape of the ball is an oval. The point is on the Longhorn elbow. You can see the ball hit and roll. To roll it would have to be touching a surface at the belly of the ball. There is no body part under it. You can clearly see the players arms.
