The spring game is the only thing we have to go on as far as this season goes. It doesn't concern you just a little that Jefferson was horrible in the spring game?

Very little. Let's see how things shake out by the end of fall practice.

My only question is: With inferior O-linemen, lack of any running game, and a wizard calling plays, did it really matter who was playing QB last year? That is too many variables even for All American QBs to be made to look a little un-Div1 like.

We all know....it's called the 2008 LSU football season. Maybe you should watch a rerun of that instead.
...because freshman QB's don't mature and progress with time in a program...

I wish people would stop with the QB bashing. We will need both of them to have a successful season. In the last 3 years the 2nd team QB has had to start at least 1 game due to injury. If we are going to compete for the SECwest, we will need them both to step up and win game(s).

Look guys we all know CLM has a thing for seniors, and IMO Hit and T-Bob should have been benched, because if you look back at a few games where PJ, and Hurts were in the game we seemed to move the or score a TD. The only thing i think JJ has a slight problem with is his ability to get rid of the ball at times! I think JJ wil surprise alot of you this season!

No. I'd say that 95% of fans and 100% of LSU coaches definitely do not see what you see.

You guys are the same people that would've benched Matt Mauck after the '03 spring game.

Wow JL vs JJ you guys are nuts. Arguing which one of these 2 QBs should start with such determination. RP set us back 3 years as a football powerhouse and idc what u think it is the truth. Only reason Fr or So play is because of lack of talent or people! RP was scheduled to have this team for 1 or 2 years with all of the underclassmen (JJ JL) learning the system. Go back to your first day at your current job. For most people it was new info and probably a little overwhelming possibly a little scary, but the person who trains you makes it a little easier by showing you the ropes and the dos and don'ts of the job. Go 1 to 2 years from when you got that job, you pretty much know almost all of your job duties if not all, unless that coworker was fired and there was no one there to show you anything and had to learn it all on your own. The only people to teach u were bosses who complicated everything or gave u too much info causing not much of it to be learned properly!

IDC who is QB just please stop bashing these 2 LSU QBs.

U & I totally disagree that JJ is an sec Qb. He would fit in at Southern much better.

Lee looked much better, but like I said before about Lee....he didn't start playing well until after the pick 6. This leads me to believe that his pick 6 problem is mental and he's just waiting for the pick 6 to happen, after it happens he settles in and starts doing well. The coaches have to get Lee over that mentality.

That had a lot to do with why we went 8-5 with a more experienced o-line in 2008. It makes the game tougher by continuing to allow this to happen. First responsibility of the QB is to take care of the ball.

"dont criticize anything if you've never held the position. even when obvious to the lay people." such a passive approach to life. so don't criticize players, coaches, politicians, management, public safety, medical professionals, teachers, the catholic church, etc. STFU, douchetard! thats why we have things like the rant. this is the voice for those who care but really have no other voice. we get to voice our opinions right or wrong. MAY THE BEST DAMNED QB WIN THE JOB! WHITE, BLACK, CABLOASIAN, BLACKANESE, OR TRANNY!

I'm so sick of this excuse. You would think a "powerhouse" football program would have a backup plan, instead of resting the future of the program on an 18-year old kid with a troubled background.

To once again rest it on 18 year olds for the next seasons, thanks for proving my point.

Well of course the season is rested on 18-20 year olds (plural) as it is with every college team. But to say this is all RP's fault (one, singluar 18-year old), is ridiculous.

But you probably have not probably bashing JL. How can people get on here and say not to bash one when they are quick to bash the other. Both are LSU QB's and we should be behind both of them. You can have an opinion abouth who you believe should start with out throwing the other under the bus.

IMO...Neither has shown that they should be given the starting job. It should be an open position (making everyone practice harder to win it) I think everyone should be playing for the starting job. The freshmen included. Don't say we don't want start over again because if JL or JJ has not improved, then it is just like starting over.

Let them all compete and whomever wins. Lets get behind this team and not run them down.
