bison, do you think high temps and humidity will affect your team?
Closed roof, so no. If they open the roof, it will be because temps are lower.

Freak will end up being better than Nevis. Maybe not right off the bat but it is pretty telling when a Freshman comes in and can start...
He did have the sack record in HS. I'm more impressed at how big Freak is and can still retain his quickness.
We're bigger in the middle than we were last year and Downs will be in the rotation. He is a pretty good DT when he isn't hurt. Should be harder to run at LSU up the middle but no telling what inconsistencies a Freshman will have there.
I wish Freak/Brockers would stop mauling our interior line in practices...someone needs to sit his arse.

I think that pic is them standing amongst 10 year olds, so its hard to really judge. They look like thy have some size, and frankly I'm tire of your never ending attempt to get us to respect your team. I already respect them, and I'm looking forward to the arse pounding (nohomo) wergoing to put on them in a week. Come back and eat your crow when its over.

When was the last True Freshman to start at LSU? It took Peterson the middle of the season before he got the start.

Nico, I am not trying to get you to respect the team. People just regurgitate memes without looking at the evidence. Oregon is a lot bigger in the trenches than last year. We started two 270 pound DTs but we lost them to graduation. Now people are assuming we are inexperienced and light.

And they will continue to do so, hence you wasting your time with a discussion like this. What this fanbase brings in passion and enthusiasm, it really lacks in football knowledge, especially when it comes to scouting an opponent. they'll believe what they want, which is fine.
Hell, someone started a thread yesterday with highlights of a qb we just signed, and the majority of the posters who responded had never seen the guy before.

I get that it's an effort in futility. However, it was interesting to do the exercise and it really didn't take much time.

ONCE AGAIN>>>
you compare our OL to your OL, and our DL to your DL.
Our OL outweighs your DL (We play O v D around here) by around 37 lbs. Yours outweighs our D by 26.
We are a bit bigger.
But it is a dumb, meaningless debate. I am just tired of seeing all opponents of ours making matchup predictions off of like units...not the units they will be facing on the field.

The reasonable people on this board are over ran by the homers, it don't matter what facts u put on here bison, the honks will dis credit them and since Lsu is in the sec, they will say we are out weighed by 30+ pounds, we don't have a chance to win, he'll why even show up??? they don't live in reality!
Its to bad the more knowlegable and reasonable Lsu fans have to deal with the homers that see thru purple and yellow shades, and talk out their asses!!

That is why I said the size differential is 10.25 which is 37-26.75.

I love how some of our superior posters think if they give the other team credit, they are knowledgeable football analysts. I haven't been running with these "memes", but I do think we win both lines of scrimmage. If that's me being a homer, then by dammit, I guess I'm a Homer.

The excuses are already rolling out.
Oregon has two starters out as well so no excuses.

I think the big difference here is that Blanc, Fairly, Clayton, and Goggans were all senior or on their way to the NFL (I can't remember if Fairly was a junior but the other three were seniors).
Also, the linebacking corp was bigger and the use a 4-3 base package whereas LSU runs more 4-2-5 with a 240 pound end.

Was about to post the same thing...I knew AU wasn't bigger w/o looking it up.
OU fan is obviously worried about LSU doing same thing to them AU did...and that's a valid worry.
LSU's D in 2011 better than AU 2010.
With exception of possibly Hatcher, I see 10 guys on our D that will play in NFL.

I will give you that. AU last year did have more experience than our D this year, but our D is still bigger, especially in the middle (a lot of AUs weight comes from their big DEs).
