The sad thing, LSU might have had one of it's greatest comebacks of all time

If we were able to pull off the win.
I still think UC Irvine in 2008 had more impact because of what the game meant even though it was less of a deficit.
It's a damn shame. I was driving home from south LA this weekend and listened to it as far as I could. It got to 13-6 and I turned it off because I could hardly get any signal. Roll into town and we are tied 15-15.
Back to back to back jacks with 2 outs to tie it up. If we win that game and get cole henry back next week I honestly think this team goes on a tear. I still think we can do it but we really needed that W. It's unfortunate that we lost and unfortunate that all of you folks are so got damn emotional that you think Woodard is going to come in and fire CPM within a couple months of him being hired.
Oh well I still love watching this team even though they frustrate me.

yeah, not sure why he didn't go with Hess to close it out.
ETA: Actually I do know why. Mainieri is a terrible bench coach and has always been.

But he sent Hess down to warm-up during the blitz of hits off Fontenot.

I can’t for the life of me understand why, regardless of double play, would you walk someone to pitch to someone hitting .450 in SEC play?

Rantard: WTF WHY CAN'T WE KEEP A HEALTHY PITCHING STAFF WTF IS CPM DOING TO frick UP EVERYONE'S ARMS
Also Rantard: WHY DIDN'T HE THROW HESS WTF HE ONLY THREW 60 PITCHES ON FRIDAY

Someone might ask, how do you frick up x's and o's in baseball?
-Trying to steal for 9 years getting thrown at 2nd to end innings repeatedly.
-Not knowing what the frick to do with pitchers, leaving them in too long, not putting in the right one repeatedly.
-Hiring ex players to coach , clueless ex players
After next year..."He Gone"

Hess wasn't warming up while Fontenot was pitching?
I could have sworn they not only showed it, but also commented on it?
I guess I'm seeing and hearing things.
Waiting for a replay of the game.
Even in the game thread someone mentioned, "CPM said Hess is unavailable today"
Then right after the post he goes, "Guess he is" or something..

I seriously thought the radio said hess was down there warming up, then they said hess was sent back to the dugout
friend watching on tv also said they sent Hess down, warmed up, then after 2 runs, at 17-15...Hess went back to the dugout..He was warming up down there

Knowing Hess he probably took it upon himself to start warming. Love it.

Hess went down there on his own

I know right, after commenting earlier this week on a thread of what's ur #1comeback, that would've answered that.oh well this team is what its record shows they are, honestly we have to many ?s to make a run in NCAA, maybe these guys will comeback strong next year, and we take it then, I expect us to be travelling this regional season as of now. It's up to them to prove us wrong

Paul Mainieri never considered going to Zack Hess.
Hess ran down to the bullpen and started warming up on his own. Once Paul saw him, he made him sit down.
“I have a conscience. I want that kid to have a good, long career. I wouldn’t do that to him on one-day’s rest.”

I’m usually a CPM defender, but he needed to listen to the monster and let him give us 2 innings to score one run.
Posted on 5/5/19 at 10:13 pm to ForeverEllisHugh
I'd say really even one inning....like you said, maybe 2 if he was able to get out with throwing under 10 pitches..
Today's loss cost us getting a Regional. Hello #2 seed somewhere....unless we kick it into gear the next few weeks.

I still think we can host with 2/3 each of the next two weekends, no more midweek losses, and a couple of SECt wins.
