I watched a lot of replays last night where a blitz was coming or it was 3rd down and all our receivers have their backs to the QB. Etling can't make a play anyway but we need to teach these kids a hot route or something. They already struggle gettzing separation. We either have no intermediate passing routes or Etling fails too see any of them. I know some is Etling but some of it is also the route tree.

It's not an audible. When the blitz is a corner blitz and obvious just turn your head around shite.

The routes are too slow on most plays. 3rd and 5 and it's 4-5 second routes.

Doesn't help that are wide receivers coach has never coached wide receivers

No hot routes at all. One of those times I'd have been cool taking a timeout but they just caved right into the blitz. Etling misses that RB check down all the time.

Ask the WR Coach what a "Route Tree" is and he'd probably look at you with a puzzled look on his face.

Seriously, you can clearly see there is no technical coaching going on at that position. Get somebody in here that can teach these kids the finer aspects of running routes and how to catch a football.

Don't need a "Great Recruiter" at this position that can't develop the athletes that are critical to this Offense.

I think O and Canada already see this and will make the change after the season............

Exactly. Beyond frustrating. Like we didn't learn a thing from last year's game.

I think another issue is the QB is more concerned with timing the sweep properly than focusing on what the defense is doing in front of him pre snap. Just my opinion.

They don’t know how to break off a route either.

sorry but you can't watch Television replays and obtain that information, at least on a consistent basis. the cameras follow the ball and you almost never know who was open or getting open when the ball is thrown. gotta have the films for that (and that's a lot of work).
