That Forbes list shows what the University makes from Football operations (tickets, concessions, merchandise, etc.) not what Alumni donate to them. The football team is never listed as a non profit organization, so people do not donate to the "football" team because you cannot write it off for tax purposes.

People donate to tradition funds and things like the TAF that take the money and spend it on the football teams behalf. This way the donation is tax deductable.

my heart has always belonged to Louisiana, and I thank GOD every day for the simple good things we have right here. There really isn't ANYTHING ANYWHERE better than what we have in Louisiana. In that respect, we're all rich.

Great qoute...let me know if you're hiring, because I'm allways willing to help people make more money.

Not gonna happen. He'll make his change, but Raising Canes is in a pretty flooded market.

Gary is a bonafide billionaire. There is plenty on the Hornets board about his wealth for obvious reasons.

I've heard Patrick F. Taylor's wife is possibly the richest person in the state of Louisiana - and she may be the only in-state billionaire. No idea if she went to LSU though, but clearly they donate a good bit of money to the university...

Mrs. Taylor went to Tulane. Patrick Taylor graduated from LSU with a Petroleum Engineering Degree. Is there a Patrick Taylor or Phyllis Taylor Hall at Tulane?

Mike Duhon's family...the Lawtons. Bernhardt with Shaw. Trey Boucvalt is fast gaining wealth, as he owns ES&H which is doing La oil clean-up. Penningtons with the price of oil up to over $100 a barrel. They must have a few wells left.

Interesting...didn't know she went to ULL. I didn't see it mentioned in any of her bios. I guess that is what Forbes means in their profile of her in the wealthiest people when they list this:

Education: Lafayette College, Bachelor of Arts / Science
Tulane University, LLB

I thought they meant the Lafayette College in the northeast somewhere.
