His age plus a guaranteed contract were so stupid

Has he stabilized the program? We had to go into the portal heavy this offseason just to field a team he thought could compete for a title. It's year 4.

We're also going into next year with absolutely no certainty as to "who's next" at the QB position.

Sure, MVB looked good against SELU but we don't know anything about his ceiling / floor yet.

Also we've seen how incredibly dependent Kelly is on his coordinators. If Baker were to leave where the frick does that leave us? Kelly, Sloan, and some new guy that has to implement a new defense that takes time to learn with new players etc.

No established coach worth anything is doing this.

Incentive-based contracts are a fantasy.

There is no process system in place. The program truly is rudderless.

From someone who doesn't post much but OM was hyped from the beginning, their sideline was totally into this game from before the onset. LSU came out like "ok" another game. THIS is 100% on Kelly. Nuss isn't hurt physically..something emotionally is going. Sloan MUST go. Give VanBuren a chance. OL flat out sucks! At the end of the day, this falls on Kelly...FIX IT! If not, Woodward needs to fix the mess HE made by hiring Kelly as he is CLEARLY inept in successfully producing a winning product!

Total bullshite. No other teams wanted him, and he was sick of ND, he was ready to leave.

It made perfect sense when you view it through the lens of program stability. Kelly was good at running all of his programs at every stop and LSU was a mess heading into the new NIL era. Kelly brought professionalism and stability to LSU. Now, he hasn't gotten LSU over the hump on the field and if he doesn't over the next 2 years, the program is set up for next guy to seemlessly take over and run things (see Freeman at Notre Dame).
You had me until the last part...

Freeman hasn't done shite at ND.

I do not know what made Scott hire this guy for 10 years with a guaranteed contract. That decision is certifiably insane.

As I have said, BK appears to have no process in place.

I’ve never understood this nor will I ever. It’s not like Kelly wouldn’t have come for a lucrative 5 year deal. Why in the F did the guy in charge feel the need to lock someone down for 10 years w this BS contract?

Established coaches aren't moving for 5 years.

DeBoer had 2 years of P4 coaching experience and he got 8.

He has a lower win percentage at Alabama than Kelly does at LSU, despite inheriting a better situation.

I guess he's added stability to the program.

Can we get to a champ game with him???

It doesn't appear so.

No it’s not directionless. It’s consistently 9-3 or 8-4

Hope everyone that is giving to NIL is enjoying their ROI. We are going to lose quit a few more SEC games with this offense. Foolish if you don't give MVB a shot at least.
