The problem with this baseball team

Is inconsistency.
Great teams struggle here and there. But the low points are never very low and they don’t last long. This team has shown flashes of greatness and plenty of instances of terrible play. It’s an interesting dynamic that no lsu baseball fan is familiar with in regard to a team what should have started and remained in the top 5. No one knows what to expect any game or weekend.

Inconsistent coaching.

Bad coaching and the culture has changed dramatically since Skip retired

The program has no edge anymore. Mainieri has created a program with no soul or character. Bland. We need to strive to be the Miami Hurricanes of baseball again.

When you go back after the season and remember the arse kicking this team received from Florida on Friday night, the two losses to Missouri and the 10th inning of today’s game, hopefully folks will understand why the road to Omaha, for the second year in a row doesn’t pass through BR.

No leadership on this team. No spark plug.

You think KRob, Deichmann, Hess, Freeman, and Reynolds were bland?

Inconsistent all around including players.

Smith is the guy but he seems like the only guy. And when he falters, it hurts more because of that.

We don’t have to pretend like last years team was ever worthy of a super host.

Only one of these are on this team.

Or this one.

He mentioned the program. Not this team specifically.

I want the LSU team that played Friday night . Reminded me of the LSU 90’s great era. Thats an intangible that’s missing. Watching Jake Mangum play this year reminds of the LSU greats that played in the 90’s. That’s the type of player that’s lacking. This team has no grit or guts imo. Hate saying it but it’s true

Not today. They were Friday though, right?

We need to be worried that this years team is worthy of hosting a regional. If they have to travel, the prospects are not good.

I think it took grit and guts to put up 6 in the 9th, don’t you?

No. They’ve never been consistent enough. Had hope after Moo State, but that faded.
