The student’s section stood the entire game and made a decent amount of noise and chanted. The rest of the LSU crowd sat on their hands unless something really exciting was happening.

Meh, I thought the crowd was in the game for the most part, there was a lull in the 3rd quarter right after the NIT survey thing, but I 100% blame that on the survey

It was a good crowd because 35% were ULL fans.

That is a lie. ULL had about 500-600 fans sitting behind their bench. Stop with the fake news.

Ehh, they had more than that, probably about 2K to LSU's 5 or 6K, 25% ULL fans is probably close to accurate if I had to guess

I thought the crowd was into it about 70% of the game. Crowd was forced into cheering when the ULL fans showed up loud and ready to go. Think this is the first time I've heard the crowd cheer the team off the floor after warmups.

Curious to those that thought crowd was weak where they were all season. Definitely the most electric atmosphere we've had all season.

Guess some will find any reason to cmplain.

This. The students finally show up and get loud like y’all always talk about and the rest of the LSU side, while making a good bit of noise at times, basically had to be forced out of their seats. It takes time but it’s getting better

This is exactly why the Cajuns and Tigers should play more often. It was an exciting atmosphere. The one thing many LSU fans seem to ignore, is the fact that Cajun fans travel very well for a mid-major. We bring a crowd that is passionate, whether you hate us or not is irrelevant. The fact is, it's always a fun and entertaining game when UL and LSU meet up in anything other than Football.

I don't see why it's such a bad thing to want to continue playing this series. Y'all call us little brother all you want, but let's keep playing. It's fun. The hate and the shite talking is pure entertainment. That crowd was electric as hell, and UL fans were a big part of that.

I have zero issues with playing ULL in the PMAC... But it seems like Marlin wants it to be a home and home thing, which I am not okay with, no reason for LSU to travel to Lafayette

I'm game. Get rid of Sam Houston St. Or Alcorn which effectively turns PMAC into a library.

Hate y'alls team, but at the very least makes the game exciting. As a STH I am in for more games with this kind of atmosphere.

Yea, many Cajun fans wouldn't agree with me here. But frankly I don't care if we just have to go to the PMAC every year and maybe LSU returns a trip like once every blue moon. Or not return, whatever. Let's just keep playing.

The state of college basketball is such that, power 5 teams really do have all the power even when it comes to scheduling. I'd rather play y'all every year even on the road, rather than bring in some shite D-II school to Lafayette because we can't fill another spot on the schedule.

But it sounds like Wade doesn't even want to play it in BR. Hopefully that atmosphere tonight changes his mind. Even though I also admit our coach Marlin needs to shut his frickin mouth and just Coach.

Props to our players though, I really thought they laid it all out there with that comeback. Fell short in the end. I had fun at the game. And yes, when LSU fans really got into it, it was deafening in the PMAC. For only like 2-3 second at a time. Then just students again. Haha.

Well not any more... But I can't really blame him with how Marlin handled himself leading up to this game and during it.

Agreed. I mean, make no mistake... WW was doing some chirping too or else LSU wouldn't have gotten T'd up at the same time as us, on your home court. But still, I love the intensity all the way around. Lol that shite was awesome.

Well yeah, I'm not gonna act like Wade was innocent in all that, but it stemmed from Marlin...

Also agreed, the intensity was fun, probably the most fun I've had at a basketball game this year

I agree but fan excitement comes with team success. Look at Duke and UNC’s atmosphere. It’s electric and never stops. They have a track record of consistent success in basketball. LSU is heading in that direction to making basketball relevant again

You started a thread earlier stating how over half the crowd was ULL fans. Now you’re saying it was 35% and that’s why it was loud. I’m startijg to think it was closer to 80/20 LSU/ULL and you are willing to just lie in krder to shite on LSU fans.

The whole game sounded loud as hell on the tv and it looked like the players fed off it

I watched many games during the Brown era and I can assure you the atmosphere was electric and very, very loud. while I had to watch pistol pete play in the cow palace, I got to watch chris Jackson, shaq and dozens of other LSU greats play in the PMAC and it was a great venue. OK, the outside spaceship architecture is dated but the inside is great and just needs a few modification.

May I ask what other arenas you’ve been to?

Yes! The premium seats at the box are the best, most psssionate and vocal fans. Let's do the same thing at the pmac so more of those folks can make the pmac atmosphere special

I was there during Chris Jackson and Shaq days ... there was NOTHING quiet about that place. It was an absolutely fantastic atmosphere. I remember a UNLV game in particular -- man those were good times.
