We would be almost guaranteed a CFP spot every single year in any other conference or independent. Sure, we would make less money, but isn't the goal to win? If you have an easier path to winning, seems like a no-brainer. What's the point of having a ton of money if you have 5-7 and 7-5 type seasons when you're down? We could have 10-3 seasons on bad years.

If it does to 24 and several 3 loss teams are in the playoffs you’re going to have a lot of people no longer caring about regular season games.
Can you imagine going 1-3 to start season and winning out to make the playoffs. It wouldn’t even feel like college football anymore.

Indiana aint in the SEC and they beat the frick out of everyone they played last year.
LSU (sec team in case you forgot). Lost to Houston last year dude. Ole Piss barely escaped louisville.
The SEC ain't what it used to be in football dude.
But baseball worries me

I think you missed my point. If we aren't in a major conference our schedule will suffer and our revenue will suffer. Plus paying more teams to come play us and more road games. That means less money for players coaches and facilities across all sports. Maybe football comes out close to even (doubtful) but all the others will suffer significant revenue cuts. Less big games means TS isn't what it is today. The brand value decreases and over time the quality of our program decreases. And not playing in the SEC is a big recruiting disadvantage for baseball

Why? Because you say so? Is every non SEC school out there just giving up? Seems like we just had a championship that included an ACC team losing by only 6 points in a title game. The money wouldn't be the same in some other conference or independent, but if you go on a string of wins, the money will come in. LSU will be able to play more night games as well.
