Yes I went to one of Pete's fr. games, and as said in the newspaper; fr. team leaves the court, and the varsity plays in front of near no one.
Cow Palace was near empty for the varsity team and near full for the fr. team in those days.

LSU should roll the tape for Pete’s games and count no doubt 3’s and petition to add an asterisk to his numbers even if he is second AND also mention there wasn’t a shot clock to show the average mins the other team was on offense to slow down the game. THEN they need to add in his freshman points to end this controversy.

Records are meant to be broken. Except Drew Brees. 4x MVP runnerup will be hard to beat.

The optics are not good comparing these eras. Either have 2 sets or find a way to make the comparison equal. Nothing else works

ESPN has done Pete fair in observing this record. Walton has done some very pro-Pete footage. And the hardcore super majority understand the 44 PPG average is more of an accomplishment. I can tell you in ten years, people won't know who David is but they will know Pete.
