The path to LSU hosting a regional

This is unlikely, but not impossible. Hear me out.
LSU currently has a 21 RPI. We’ll finish the SEC Tourney around there, shouldn’t drop much even with a loss. LSU could host as a 2 seed in Baton Rouge.
The precedent? 2021. South Carolina was RPI 20 with a 16-14 SEC record. They were the 2 seed. Old Dominion was RPI 13 in CUSA(conference RPI 6).
Who could be our Old Dominion? UC-Santa Barbara, currently RPI 12 in the Big West(conference RPI 13)
The 3 game conference record difference is likely what dooms us, BUT, not impossible.

yeah there has to be some type of extenuating circumstances
see Indiana State special olympics last year for the Super. i think they are hosting the S.O. again super wknd, fwiw. maybe we'll be paired with em.

in 2012 State went 16-14, won the SECT (altho they did have a loss in Hoover) and travelled to FSU as a 2 seed

There have been teams with better SEC records who have won the SECT and not hosted. Us being one of those teams
