As for me, I was damned entertained Saturday night.
As was I. LSU fought tooth and nail, and it was great.
Hopefully this last 0-2 performance for the prevent defense will relegate it to history for all time in the state of Louisiana. I don't mind if other teams use it, just not LSU or the Saints. Obama knows we've seen too much of it.

You're STILL butthurt about 1/9? Christ man, move on.

You're right, however, because it was Saban, again, we look like second fiddle douches.
Because that's the way you want it or is that the way you percieve it? I know what the media wants.
I've stated here many times, when I watch games, I watch them on mute. I noticed Saturday night after our Fake FG didn't work, going to commercial, CBS showed a not-so-flattering image of Miles scratching his ear. I can only imagine how Gary and Verne were shitting all over Miles and LSU. I wonder what they were saying, but then again, I could probably guess.

Bottom line- the media is talking about signature Heisman and NC moments. A few throw in a jab about how our coaching cost us.
Bama makes them more $$$. What would you do if your income depended on it?
quote:
When coupled with the idiocy of the Flynn to Byrd play and the clock management, it adds to his "moron" and "they win in spite of their coach" legacy.
What about the 80 other games he's won? When he dominated the other "genius" coaches the past few years, what was the media saying? When he beat the "genius" last year, what did the media do? I suggest you shutting them off and use your brain.
You will be a lot happier and won't deal with this:

I was okay SATURDAY night. Here we are in a Monday, and I cannot get this game out of my head. I went to bed and woke up thinking about it. It's sad to say I'metting a football game affect me this much. I owe it to screwed up priorities and CLM.
And you won't have CLM to blame.

Damn strong post my friend!!!
Here's to turning the corner and finishing strong!! Another 11-2 top 5 finish well within reach!!
Let's keep it going and get ready for a truly special run in 2013!!!
Bingo. The Genius is going to need another mulligan in the next few years. You can see it coming. I expect the genius to be granted an annual Mulligan beginning in 2014. He's clearly going to need them.

On the head to head matchup, you are right. Miles and Saban have gone toe to toe pretty much. I think the biggest difference, if there is one, is that if Saban wins another BCS championship this year that count will be 4-1 in Saban's favor and 3-0 since Miles won his.
Again. Minus the unprecedented mulligan, the title count would be 2-2 today...
That's my part. Right now, the mulligan is the difference and thus, causing Miles' negetive perception. Not many coaches can beat Saban twice in a year. Not many coaches could beat Miles twice a year either, Saban (obviously) included. Saban couldn't beat Miles twice last year...

The comparison is not complete if you are just looking at the handful of head to head games.
Yes. Yes it is. Again, the difference is a Mulligan that Miles would NEVER get.
quote:
Miles is a great coach though, so the comparisons are kind of silly. Who else do you really want to get?
I don't want anyone else. This post was directed at the idiots in the fan base.

LOL. Good gosh. I look at 1/9 and laugh. Seriously, who cares? I never have to watch JJ QB another LSU game. That makes me happy. 1/9 reminds me of that joy I feel.

How can you support Miles yet completely disagree with who he selected as a qb?

LSU 6
Florida 14
That's the major difference at the moment.
That and 3+ additional undefeated teams this season.
Alabama got lucky in 2011 to sneak back into the title game.
LSU got RIDICULOUSLY lucky in 2007 to sneak back into the title game.
The thing with getting lucky is, it normally doesn't happen, that's why it's called getting lucky.

I actually thought playing JJ last Jan was the right thing. He was the "best" we had at the time. Didn't say I liked it...

Great post, EZE--well said.
Hey, GOOD TEAMS GET LUCKY! No one ever looked at a bad team and said, "see how lucky they are!?"

The difference between Saban and Miles is how they play other SEC Teams. Bama brings their A game to every SEC game. The loss that hurts is really Florida and Aurburn almost beat LSU. MSU and Arky will not be a walk in the park, but Bama handled them with ease.

Another difference is Saban needs more polishing cloths b/c he has 2 more (possibly 3) crystal balls that he gets to polish.

Solid point.
Saban gets to avoid the Top 10 ranked teams from the East. Miles gets two of them annually.
LSU would play better against Vandy and UT than agains UF and USCe. I'm sure of this.

Not true, each team has only one permenant game from the opposite division, UF is LSU's, UT is Bama's. LSU and USCe will have a home and home and they will rotate off your schedule and will be replaced by another Eastern division team, could be Vandy, UK or UGA. USCe just rotated off UA's schedule (remember Stephen Garcias game of his life that beat bama? Probably the only game he was sober in) and was replaced by Missouri.
UT is going through a bad stretch right now but historically have been a very tough opponent through the years, they will be good again soon.
Hope I helped out a little bit. Good game Tigers
