Many of us are still keeping up with the CWS, just sad that LSU isn't there.

Why does that bother you?

Probably because Ole Miss has a black shortstop

I think possibly the best and most consistent pure hitter ever, considering he was facing the nastier cutter and slider pitches not widely thrown until well after the 50s and 60s.

I love Merica, so I'll be a fan. It stops after the Workd Cup and I'll pick it back up in 4 years. I haven't watched a single second of any game other than the US game.

don't think you have to pretend to be a bandwagoner or be called an actual bandwagoner if you only show interest in the world cup and don't follow soccer the rest of the year. it's no different than the olympics to me. very few people follow the majority olympic sports except for during the olympics. given the united states soccer team doesn't compete in any other major competition outside the confederation cup (which isn't all that important to the rest of the soccer world), there's nothing wrong with caring about the world cup and nothing else in soccer. we don't have elite professional leagues like they do in other parts of the world and we don't compete in things such as the eurocup, which is almost as big as the world cup for those that do compete. the world cup is basically it for the national team on a worldwide stage. just my two cents.

A home run in this park is one that bounces on to the warning track.

@PivOWH: It's been 84 innings, dating back to the Mississippi State-Oregon State game in 2013, since we've seen a home run in Omaha.

Kind of like Theriot's home run in the 2000 SEC Tourney.
