Crazy what had to happen for LSU to make it to the BCS Title game.
Rooting for Syracuse and Boise St. or something crazy like that.
The Backyard Brawl game was classic!

2016 at Auburn : In a classic Les Miles furious finish, Danny Etling throws a TD pass as time expires. When officials review the play to see if DJ Chark’s feet were in bounds, they “get the call right” and rule that the play clock had expired before the snap, although there were no whistles on the field. Les is fired before the plane makes it back to Baton Rouge.

1994: Miss St. punts over Eddie Kennison’s head, who chases it down at the goal line off the bounce, steps into the endzone, is hit backwards, chased by 4 defenders, then breaks away for a 100 yard TD.

the PA announcer kept making announcement asking fans in the stands to go move their cars.
not many people moved until he also said "you will be allowed back into the stadium"

not saying you're wrong, but my memory seems to think that was more of a punt return thing than kickoffs.
was just an anomaly type thing that all our kick return TDs happened on the road or in bowl games.
off top head, there was at least 2 in bowl games (Kennison in Independence, Fournette against ND), and at least 2 on the road (Tristan Halloway vs Arky and vs Ole Miss) during that stretch.

The 2004 LSU vs. Oregon St. in Tiger Stadium. Delayed several hours due to rain and lightning. LSU proceeds to fumble the opening kick-off and sleep-walks through the entire game with both Russell and Randle being ineffective. OSU’s All-American kicker missed 3 extra points in the game allowing the Tigers to pull out the 22-21 victory in Overtime! Serna, the OSU kicker never missed another extra point after that! He would win the 2005 Groza Award as the Nation’s best kicker!

Never in my life have I gone from incredibly angry to extreme excitement in such a short amount of time.
So glad I didn’t turn that game off.
