Firstly, GERMANS!!
Secondly, frick you.
Thirdly, we are historically one of the best programs in the country. We are 7th in winning percentage and is 6th or 7th in bowl wins. We have top 10 recruiting classes year in and year out. We had a Heisman winning RB and a countless number of NFL players. Some are even in the Hall of Fame. Stop trying to take something away from an ELITE football program. Stop trying to be a little worthless bitch. STFU, GTFO, GFY, PIIHB.

No we don't. The only coaches (better) are not leaving where they are or they are dead. I hope Miles stays @ LSU.

Chris Petersen? Good coach with a great system that would love the opportunity to coach at LSU.

No, not saying that.
What I am saying is that it is FAR MORE LIKELY that they WILL NOT upgrade from the Coach with the School's ALL TIME best record than it is that the next coach will have as good or better records than the two previous coaches.
But you just did

Have you spoken to said coaches, or did you consult the Mystic Eight Ball?

You're a maloof. No matter whether Miles leaves or not, this LSU program was woken up by Saban. We may lose Miles, we may have ups and downs, but we will always be relevant because of the sheer money we have in our program. No matter what happens, sad to say it, the money we have invested in our football program and money that we are willing to invest will always keep us around the top. So shut the eff up.

Said Michigan, Nebraska, Miami and just about every other 'power house' at one time...

Because none of the other big time programs out there ever thought of 'investing' in their programs.
K, thanks. Glad Lord Saban was good enough to woke us up.

we're idiots to fire Carr for RichRod, and they're in the big ten the land of tons of talent, lol

Nebraska
have no talent in their state to rely on, have to sell their program on luster alone, not proximity to recruits families
quote:
Miami
have no on campus stadium, share stadium with NFL team, and not near as much money in their program as you think, not a real "college" feel to this team
.....that being said we don't have to worry about falling from grace, we have recruits in our state and no other big univ. to compete with for them, that along with the money, facilities and sheer passion of our boosters/fanbase will keep us from ever becoming irrelevant for a prolonged period of time. You're silly little chaos theory is just that, silly. You're probably the kinda guy that was scared of the dark as a kid and still is but won't admit it.

We had those same 'intangibles' back in the late 70's when we decided to help Mac Pack.
In fact, we hired the hottest name out there at the time to replace ole mac (our best coach in School's history at the time) and what followed was 20 years of ill-fated coaching carousel.
We finally got a great one in CNS and he took the first big gig that came along after he proved himself, then we got really fortunate to replace him with a loyal class act who we (as a fan base) frankly have treated like garbage.
We might find another great one or we could hire the next Archer, Stovall or Hallman...
Why go through that if we don't have to...?

I assume you meant were..
And they didn't fire him to hire RR, they settled for RR after Miles and one or two others (if I remember correctly) turned them down.

You can't be serious? First, Nebraska has never had a recruiting problem. Second the 'luster alone' is the luster of one of the ALL TIME GREAT programs and their idiotic fans, much like many LSU fans now thought they could just pick whatever coach they wanted to replace FS when they ran him out of town, they too were wrong!

Miles's perfect time to go to Michigan was after the BCS title game. With Mallett and the the pro-style players that RR ran off or turned pro early he could have won the Big Ten his first year.
He's not going to Michigan now.
He's not going to Michigan now.

To everyone already having les miles out the door remember this:
When les miles asked his old coach Bo about if he should take the Michigan job before Bo told him to "go make LSU his Michigan "
He might be homesteaded here

I hope you are right and frankly I actually think you are but the UM situation makes me nervous.
If our fans and local media didn't badger the man incessantly I'd think he'd love it here but why take as much crap as he does from a bunch of unappreciative 'swamp people' if you don't have to?
I know I wouldn't.

First your a clown for saying LSU will never be elite. Second I agree that Les Miles is a good coach and I would also like him to stay. Third, this is a premiere job and I don't think it would be hard to get another prime time coach.

this is one of the most rambling and idiotic posts i've ever read on the Rant. And that's saying a lot.
LSU's program will continue to be good as long as Louisiana continues to pump out the most talent per capita of any state in the union, and as long as the LSU administration continues financially supporting the football team and does what it needs to do to win.
LSU's program is big business. It makes almost 40 million dollars per year. Which means it's in the top 5 biggest football programs in the country.
that's elite. and it's not going anywhere regardless of the coach.
