Bump to show the retardedness of the original post. I'm still on honeymoon with Nikki!

Way too early in basketball for people to post reactionary things. Always dumb this time of year.

It's November.

It's Basketball.

Chill. The. frick.

We got this.

They may not get out of the 2nd round....nobody said they would. But to declare the honeymoon over after one November loss was very trollish of the OP

Nikki Caldwell is a terrific coach. From what I'm seeing locally in girls basketball from the New Orleans area is that she has to rebuild relationships with coaches. Apparently this wasn't being done with the last couple of coaches.

Most of the top LA talent isn't going to LSU.

Exactly!

As I'd said earlier. It's only November. It's a young team that lost five seniors from last season's squad. Let's wait till at least November before we start talking about this coach being a disappointment. They're still figuring out their new roles and trying to insert freshmen into the lineup. Ballard showed yesterday why she was one of the 25 best high school players in the nation last season. The future will be fine with Nikki as the coach. But there's still some recruiting to do. Good nucleus out there right now though.

I don't think many of you know what the phrase means I never suggested she should be fired but a tough loss like they had to Hampton certainly suggests the end of the "honeymoon" period... Good win though to start moving forward.
