Derek Stingley. True or false? If he has 4-5 TD's on offense/ST's and he continues to grow as the premier lockdown corner, I think he gets an invite. He got on the national scene in a big way this year so he will have name recognition. I don't know if it will be next year or his Jr. yr. but believe it will happen.

If Ricks ends up being what he's being touted to be, opponents will have to throw at somebody! I don't think Stingley will need 8-10 picks but his numbers will be directly tied to how good the guy on the other side is.

I also think our D will be back to dominant from day 1 next year.

Do you think that guy is on campus yet, if not Stingley?

Just soak in today, we have had a lot of amazing players. Some good enough to become a heisman finalist, and only 2 good enough to win the whole thing.

Do not worry about what could be and focus on what will be.

False. There’s been one Defensive back win it and he played other positions to help.

I see you reppin' King all over the board with much dissention. I don't agree with the mentality that Brennan has waited his turn and will be given the keys to the Ferrari just because. If we used that mentality, Brennan would've taken over for Etling. King is an explosive player but not sure he's the answer. I wouldn't reject him just because "it's Brennan's turn" though.

Now...Stingley to NYC in next 2 yrs or no?

Well remember...the staff promised Stingley reps on O after his first season. I also assume he will continue to return punts. I think he has to score 5+ non-defensive TD's to put himself in a position to be considered.

Justin Fields is the next one to snatch the Heisman. With what he did this year, he can only improve.

Maybe? Doesn't mean he is a lock for next year. Everyone said Trevor Lawrence would win the heisman this year after the year he had last.

I did say "invite" in my OP so he would have to be in top-4. I don't actually think he will ever win it.

It’s Stingley. Coach O promised his family during recruiting he would get offensive snaps for this very purpose. He has name now, LSU will promote him and voters are begging to give to a defensive player again.

Next year will be Justin Fields to lose or T Lawrence if he comes out of gate hot though.

Yep, he loses a few receivers but has Olave and that Incredible greshen from Texas back (can't remember his name).. They also have (3) of the top 5 receivers in the country coming in, #1 Julian Fleming, and also Smith-Njigba, who is the most prolific receiver in Texas hs history, and the other is Gee Scott. Unheard of haul.
