Good point, they have other options.
Seriously, the point is the NCAA and their members take full advantage of their position and control the business of college athletics as much as they legally can.

I think an extra year of eligibility should only extend to current seniors whose senior year was cut short significantly.
No basketball players should get an extra year, they played a full season. Yes, some schools missed out on postseason, but that is extra.
Underclassmen don't need an extra year as they still have playing time or could use this year as a redshirt if it is still available.
Current seniors who choose to get an extra year should not count against scholarship limits. If you give every player on every team an extra year, counting scholarship limits would be very difficult. Just limit it to seniors and you can do a 1 year exception.

Do you have a gripe with college doctors/professors using Teacher Assistants who make minimum wage?

Freshmen, Sophomore, and Junior players lost out on a year of playing. Just because it’s their last year, seniors deserve a 5th (or even 6th year of eligibility?
Seniors get 5 or 6, with 4 or 5 full athletic seasons
Everyone else gets 4 or 5, with 3 or 4 full athletic seasons
Seems fair

Do teacher assistants have options?
Do the Drs. and profs. profit from the cheap labor?
Should the assistants be paid more?
All of that factors in.

What do you think that has been done so far was not in the best interest of the athletes?
there is a difference between doing something right specifically for the athletes vs doing something to benefit themselves that also happens to be a benefit to the athletes.

Yes
They can go out and get jobs.
They can go out and get jobs.

At a minimum, any returning seniors should not count towards scholarship limits.

So they are free to take other jobs if they do choose then it’s fair.

If we follow your suggestion, what about the recruits that have been signed and are committed for next season?
Yours sounds like a poorly thought out political solution.

I mean it sucks but I’m pretty sure Skylar is ready to move on with his life.
He may and that's fine. I think the issue is giving him that option and letting him choose instead of it being taken away without him being able to do anything about it.

I think every athlete should have the option to return next season

Per source, NCAA sent a note to membership today saying it believes "it will be appropriate to grant relief for the use of a season for competition for student-athletes who have participated in spring sports." NCAA will start working on issues tied to this & winter athletes

What about them? I don't think there is a perfect solution. Any direction will have a list of issues.

And your response sounds like a typical political response. Bitch about a potential solution to the problem, but provide ZERO helpful input of your own.
