its literally never happened in cfb.

We both know stars aren't always indicative of success.

I'll still take a good X's and O's guy on game day anytime.

What you're suggesting is not necessarily wrong, but works against the theory that Miles was a good "coach."
He got the talent here but then squandered it to a degree.

You don’t have to be a genius to be a back biting punk.

In the Miles years.....10 games were fluff.....then miles hit the meat of the sec.....

I watched it happen every year....and the year after that....and the year after that

Les won 69% of his SEC games and had a losing record in conference once...a decade ago.

Orgeron actually lost to the fluff. Les never did.

ill take the talent and the talent will win the majority of the time.

if you have a dt that cant muscle through a double team and make a tfl, the other coach isnt thinking," why didnt i think of that".

i get what youre saying though and all things equal, a better game day coach wouldve had more succes with that talent

Yes it’s difficult to keep up with the narrative

Also if the line was so bad, why did we have a RB set the school record and 2nd most in the history of the conference for yards rushing in a season

That’s a dumb theory because Coach O was not LSU’s first choice...they came to O as a plan B once it was obvious no one would come to LSU without a big pot of cash....and the Miles clause was too heavy of a burden to overcome....

They probably looked at our recruits and saw LSU was in need of a rebuild...and they would not SHINE....for at least 2 or 3 years and told LSU, thanks but no thanks

there were other coaches on staff

No other coaches on the USC staff had HC experience other than O.

And btw, USC hired Clay Helton, who was already on staff, as their full time coach INSTEAD of O even though he hadn’t been. HC before.

O was the very definition of a temporary selection.

At LSU, the two other coaches that had HC experience were Cam Cameron, who was the reason Miles was fired to begin with, and Bradley Dale Peveto.

So yeah, O was more desirable than BDP

Really?
A dumb theory?

He had a 16-27 record as a head coach and somehow became plan B after Tom Herman. Seems like the best possible scenario for a guy who couldn’t get an interview with a Syracuse the year before.

If Les is an idiot what does that make O? He can't even perform to the level of an idiot.
