I retracted what I said to him. I jumped the gun there.

You guys just get tiresome with the same old story line. It's as if you have to keep reminding each other that it was a botched situation and O was in the right place at the right time.

It's over, he's our HC, get over it. Not everything he's doing is a mistake or bad for the program. Or every other thing. The mistake was hiring Canada. Y'all yap about appeasement of the fans but when he doesn't appease and you're displeased anyway. It gets old.

My bad then, yes that was a mistake. And you're right I honestly didn't follow the thread. Kinda just jumped in.

Carry on.

Tell me if this sounds familiar...
quote:

When I was a first-time head coach, I wanted to run the USC system,” Orgeron said at his weekly press luncheon Monday. “I loved the USC offense. And Noel Mazzone was my coordinator. And I forced the USC offense on him, and he didn’t know it well. Obviously, he’s a very successful offensive coordinator today (at Texas A&M). So, I thought that was a mistake on my part.

quote:

That was a great opportunity for me,” Orgeron said Monday. “I mean, that’s a good job. But I didn’t do well, and I didn’t like it. I was mad at myself. The techniques that I used to create some of the best defensive lines in the country did not work as a head coach. You’ve got to look at yourself in the mirror. I’m the only person that can change me. So I had to get out of that mode and get more into the head coach role and delegate, and not be the hard butt on the staff.

And yet, in his first year as LSU's head coach he made the same mistakes of hiring an OC that didn't run the offense he wants to run and then also interfered with that OC. How is that not relevant to what is going on at LSU? Are we supposed to just blindly believe that the 3rd time is the charm?

I'm not saying that he's going to make the same mistakes again for sure. But, to blame people for be skeptical is silly.
