The LSU Swag doesn't return until we go to a big bowl and win...

Until then, it's ho hum enthusiasm...
that's just the way it is
We drop this game, Tiger fans will start basketball season and casually watch how recruiting finishes.
Finish 11-2? Well, this might wake up the fan base...it's off the bed now but still...it's not anything like it was 04-12

I am not talking about playoffs
I am talking about something better than the outback or Peach Bowl...
The Sugar Bowl would be nice...
As a fan base, are we not tired of the offensive struggles, and 9-3 8-4 seasons?...we could easily finish this year 9-4...

A NY6 bowl appearance and win would certainly be better than what's been going on the past several seasons.
If it's another Outback Bowl appearance, then meh, on to basketball.

your post is likely to get downvoted to death, but i agree. i agree maybe for a slightly different reason though. not being 10-2 (regular season) means we will have lost to Texas a&m and jimbo fisher, which is poo poo.

Maybe I do, but my son and I traveled for the Bama game from NC, we love LSU football...
but if I am honest, my heart is not nearly into it like it used to be in the golden era...
the edge is gone...
as a fan base, we're not mostly negative like we were...but we're not really fired up with excitement either...
The Offense needs a spark hire...
O wasn't our first choice, not even our top 25 if we polled the fans...
SE wasn't our 100th choice
just being brutally honest.... part of the ho hum is we didn't splash hire...we went an direction completely unexpected after Miles won nearly 80% of his games.
9-2 is a solid season given the schedule...
Losing to A$M will taste bad...mainly because of the result of the bowl game.

We are 9-2 with a chance to go to a major bowl and end the season 11-2 with a top 5 recruiting class.
Ill agree that ensminger needs to go, but yall need to like find a new wife or something if you are this miserable in life.

Offense has held this program back! O had a chance to change that and he chose not to.

LSU cant be taken seriously until then can at least go 50/50 alternating wins against bama

I agree with this. Assuming we beat A&M, this season was a success, but we need a big bowl win to get that "LSU is back" feeling.

we're not loaded up talent wise like we have been in the past...
missing a few big play guys,

I've had some pretty negative things to say in recent weeks about this program, but I live a pretty happy life.

If we go to a big bowl and win you will move the target again. First it was Miami win. Then Auburn, then 10-2. Now it’s big bowl win. It will be something next year, too.

10-2 with a NY6 bowl win is a step forward.
It's the minimal of steps we can take forward, but it's progress nonetheless.
LSU needs to be in competition to win the West every year. Right now, they are no where close to it because of how far our offense lags us behind Alabama.
Like it or not, LSU must beat the tide to start winning titles (division, conference, national) again.
Until then, we would have to win every other game and have to play them again in the playoffs every year (if we even got in).
