WOW! I had already went all-in with Les, back around the Perriloux scene; and this just confirms what I suspected. Les is more than a coach to those players; he loves em...and they love him. And that little girl and the family interacting, creates a spirit in that team, that only true love can. Much power.
And I think that spirit may well be the magic and mystery factor that sets this team apart from many. And our edge.
Love you Les, win or lose...you truly do your Lord's work, and make your dad proud. Tiger nation too. And have fun doing it at that. And that is the best that any of us can hope for.

While I understand where they are coming from and I think of WORLD of Les Miles. The whole family thing and balancing with work is nice but let's be real. The man is getting paid 4 million a year to coach. When you are making 4 million a year you damn right you better be making sure you earn every single dollar even at the cost of your family like the other coaches in CFB.
It is an amazing thing that CLM have been able to balance it out but if he ever pick his family over football then he need to quit so we can find someone that put LSU football first over family. As fans that is what you guys are paying for.

One of the best articles I've read about LSU sports in general. Les Miles has earned my respect win or lose. What a great article.

I did have you? Again I am not bashing on miles and the fact that he did all these things just makes me admire and respect the man more but like you say. Perspective.
He getting paid four fricking MILLION a year to play eleven games. Potentially fourteen. There are people that work their arse off that would never get paid even a fraction of that in their life.
Perspective= Four million dollars.
In the past 7 years the man have scored 28 million and next year he will get 32. That's a lot of money to do what ever the hell you want, you bet your arse you will be working for it.

So any Owner, president, VP, CEO or whoever makes 4 mil plus should put their business ahead of their family?
Go frick yourself...you're a douche

Duzz, you want perspective?
Obama is your (cough, our) President...He and his administration spent over 5,000,000,000,000,000 is less than 3 years than was collected from the US tax payers.
Obama earns about 475k a year...

Most do to earn that million. However CEO ,VP and Owners have the luxury of actually owning their business. They can do whatever the hell they want, CLM is an LSU employee and is paid four million dollars to coach, not be a good family man. Granted him being able to balance it out is all pluses for the University that still doesn't change the fact that he gets paid four million dollar to coach. Don't want to coach? Don't take the four million.
How would you feel if your employee was more concern about what's going on in her life rather then what you hired her to do and if it distract her from doing her job?
We are lucky that his family life does not take away from his coaching one single iota. CLM is a beast.

Ok..so any actor, Athlete etc who earns 4 mil plus should respect their bosses if they say they have to put business/team ahead of family? or should they tell them to go to hell?
Its people like you who have really fricked this country up..seriously.
