The OP is wrong. Ole Miss was the last team to win a natty (2022) and miss the tournament the next year (2023) with a team that had a losing record (25-29), were 6-24 in the SEC, and did not even qualify for the SEC tournament.
So this would be a pretty stupid thing for them to crow about.
