Harris can't connect the quick pass. He rarely even looks for it. We throw slants, completed 1 or 2 last night. We tried chute routes, waggle routes, etc. he simply can't complete anything less than 15 yards down field.

Exactly. Poster on here wanting plays called that the coaches know the qb can't execute. I've never seen a young qb have such a beautiful deep ball yet can't complete a pass to the rb out of the back field. It's mind boggling.

Harris can't take any heat off the ball. It showed on that INT. He'll learn, it just takes time. Y'all can blame play calling all you want but Harris has to be able to execute

He just doesn't have touch. Everything is a rocket.

Also, his accuracy got really bad after the first time he came up limping and favoring his left leg.

Yup. He just has no touch. I think he's just young and panics.

We suck at screens, it's like when ever one has been ran the other teams sees it coming from a mile away.

Maybe cam can call lane and ask him how they execute screens so well.

Screens are only effective if lbs are blitzing.

I'm sorry, but LB's blitzing have nothing to do with quick screens/passes to the outside. When Bama threw screens to their WRs last night the were executed because the receivers and OJ Howard blocked on the perimeter.
The one tunnel screen to Ridley worked because it was 3rd down and the DE's were in 100% pass rush mode.

How often? The one I recall was the terrible throw to start off the 2nd half.

The hb circle pass to LF7. A chute route to LF7 out the back field. A completed screen to Dural I believe.

Another one to Diarse that was 1 hopped on a curl I believe.

Harris in the short passing game leaves a lot to be desired. He had fournette wide open for a huge play and zipped it way out in front and a few other the same way.

Pretty often. It's obvious Harris isn't accurate on short passes.

Please explain how an A,B, or even C gap blitz by a LB effects a bubble or quick screen (not tunnel screen).

Harris has no touch on his short passes. He can only throw the deep ball. Is this a coaching issue or a talent issue? I don't know but he just can't get it done so it really takes away that option.

Both, probably. Cam somehow can't succesefully coach up BH to stop doing it. Or, BH just can't get it as far as not over throwing short passes. Its big weakness in his game that basically all D's try to exploit. Bama just has the best one to take advantage of this weakness.

Because a free lb can come over to the blocking wrs and blow the play up. You really think our wrs could block Ragland?

It is not the strongest of the species that survives, but rather, that which is most adaptable to change.

Miles will NEVER change his offensive philosophy.

I tell you what is puzzling.

LSU is the only college team I ever heard claim such a learning curve for a QB to be able to start.

Even Mett coming from UGA and playing in community college just could not grasp the complex job without sitting out.

How is this possible when our established QB hands the ball off most of the game?

Other teams have started QB's right out the gate or pulled replaced an injured QB with second string and hit the ground running throwing all over the field and handing off.
