I’m pretty sure Ken Griffey Jr is retired.

Totally agree. I’m convinced Skenes could have gone straight to the Pirates and would have been just fine. But he didn’t. Which is why I think the Day 1 description is better served for Jayden Daniels.

It’s not a rare phrase
But sure go ahead

Paul Skenes was the best pitch prospect since Strasberg and he wasn’t a day 1 starter, lol.

So you think Milam is the next Bob Horner?
Probably not.
Probably not.

Pretty much knew he was talking Milam, been on that train all year. However, almost no one is a day one starter in the bigs. Milam has a great baseball IQ.

Whether or not you agree with the statement, you don’t know what that phrase means?
People are asking for clarification because they are trying to gauge how retarded OP is. I’m not sure the exact history, but he would be one of the first players to get drafted and go straight to the MLB in at least 60 years. Even Skenes did not do that with a 102 mph fastball and 2 other MLB ready pitches that he could command.

The point still holds. Even Skenes, possibly the GOAT didn't start day 1. So even those that CAN start day one don't start day one.
LB player but he won't start out in the majors.
Bryce Harper was a can't miss and he started in the minors. EVERYONE does.

That’s why I said whether or not you agree, it’s not a term that nobody’s ever used before.

Only a handful of players have skipped the minors. Bob Horner andPete Incaviglia both did.

You missed the majic….word/subject. Milam is what we were all looking for. Otherwise, come on man.

are you going to discredit his time in the minors?
Absolutely not. I’m saying that even he had to put at least a minimal amount of time in.
