More so than his plays and calling , we miss him as a WR coach.

Multiple busts, multiple drops, and no tempo. I feel like we caught the defense subbing for a free five yards every game last season and it just wasn’t there yesterday.

In fact, most snaps, we gave them time to line up and audible.

Losing Brady hurts bad.

I wouldn’t say that.

Passing scheme yesterday was flat out bad.

Yeah, I guess we didn’t do another summer of 10000 catches.

Tempo was gone and WRs didn’t look comfortable catching the ball. I agree.

Did we do the summer of 10,000 catches and use all those training tools he brought with him? Catching in doorways and wearing eye blinders...etc

And why tf was tempo gone? That’s on Myles, got just isn’t a good field general.

And yet it hasn't happened yet in Carolina. Odd.

Could be a lot of things. Rhule is probably influencing the offense.....he could be struggling against superior talent, he could be over-thinking things. He may not be an NFL caliber coordinator.

Doesn’t change the fact that he helped us

We never used the bunch formation. Brennan did miss so very short throws. We did drop several.

Not much separation down field

The int where his elbow got hit really hurt.

The first and goal at the 5 and getting FG hurt

The recovered fumble at mid field. Then 3 and out hurt.

Looked a little bit like the Auburn game last year. Except we could not stop anything

We made Costello look like an All American. We have done that many times in the last 20 years... we made Clauson look ALl SEC. we made Trask look All SEC last year. We made Plumblee look all SEC.

So we have Pelini, peveto and whoever, Chavis, aranda, Pelini again. And cannot get teams off the field on third down. And get not much pressure on QB. Nothing new.

Yes we had a bunch of inexperienced players. Yes we were Logan and Stingley. They might or might not have helped stop one TD

When we punted with 6 minutes left. Pretty sure that decision sealed the loss.

At LSU we have done that many many times.

I guess even though MSU killed us play after play with a few turnover exceptions. We did not have enough confidence in the offense to get three yards in the middle of the field

Matt Is an offensive coordinator and play caller. Brady is learning to run his offense. Plus losing Christian hasn’t helped. He was the best back in the NFL. There’s a difference.

. And thought somehow the defense would stop them when they didn’t the entire game.
We have a winner.

No one calls an offense better than the one that installed the plays.

With all the roster turnover LSU really needed some familiarity from the coaches. Sucks but happy for him

So there are factors at play limiting him at Carolina, but none limiting Slinger at LSU?

I would argue that these are issues:

New O- line (which was very average)

A new starter at QB (who didn’t seem to get through the progressions due mainly to panic.

No Chase or Jefferson.

A freshman TE (who caught the ball but struggled blocking.

—————————————————————

I get that we miss Brady, and I believe that we he makes us better yesterday, but only marginally so. Our QB has “happy feet” and pulls his eyes down from the tree route. He runs to escape pressure, but either can’t throw on the run, or doesn’t have the confidence to do so. Until we see improvement at the QB spot, everything else (Oline, receivers, etc.) will be difficult to address. Just my .02

That and hesitancy = plus his off balance throws were wounded ducks floating in the air.

I'm not skilled enough at the point by point analysis of QB mechanics to offer specific do's and don'ts = but I know the complete package when I see it.
