Inexcusable. of course not. A&M is a top 25 team. On the road. this is the SEC. those guys are paying their coaching staff about 15 million a year too. They have 4 and 5 stars all over the place too. But we will beat them.
Lol, so were the teams Miles lost to not paying their coaches well? Did they not have have talent?
Why was three losses subjectively unacceptable before, yet now we have to judge objectively based on special circumstances?

He’s the absolute worst. I couldn’t even imagine anyone being poorer at it than miles.
Then you dont watch other programs with same ferver you watch lsu with.
Its amazing we had all those 4th quarter wins with the worst clock manager.

He has a mess to clean up like O did in year one.
A mess? O took over a preseason top 5 team that Miles helped lay the ground work for a top 10 recruiting class. I mean, I give Orgeron a ton of credit for keeping it together. He had plenty enough talent to win 11 games last season, he didn't inherit a mess at all.

Les was losing to your Arkansas and ole miss's every year.
You mention Miles 15-11 record in his last 26 conference games.
Here's their records and rankings.
2013:
Georgia: 8-5 overall record, 5-3 SEC record, not ranked in final AP poll
Ole Miss: 8-5 overall record, 3-5 SEC record, not ranked in final AP poll
Alabama: 11-2 overall record, 7-1 SEC record, ranked #7 in final AP poll
2014:
Mississippi State: 10-2 overall record, 6-2 SEC record, ranked #11 in final AP poll
Auburn: 8-5 overall record, 4-4 SEC record, ranked #22 in final AP poll
Alabama: 12-2 overall record, 7-1 SEC record, ranked #4 in final AP poll
Arkansas: 7-6 overall record, 2-6 SEC record, not ranked in final AP poll
2015:
Alabama: 14-1 Overall record, 7-1 SEC record, ranked #1 in final AP poll
Ole Miss: 10-3 overall record, 6-2 SEC record, ranked # 10 in final AP poll
Arkansas: 8-5 overall record, 5-3 SEC record, not ranked in final AP poll
2016:
Auburn: 8-5 overall record, 5-3 SEC record, ranked #24 in final AP poll
Four of Miles 11 losses in that time frame were to teams that finished the season not ranked. Four of those losses were to teams that finished the season ranked in the top ten. One loss to a top 15 team, 2 losses to teams that were top 25 teams.
Those 11 losses sucked, but some of you people act like those losses were to scrub teams. Matter of fact, only two losses were to teams with losing SEC records. It was time for Miles to go, but it wasn't as bad as some of you make it out to be

His last full season at lsu the offense was vastly superior to any offense under O. Have the goal posts been moved again? Are we now saying being 95th i passing yards per game, 69th in offensive yards per game, and 91st in offensive yards per play is great because we arent doing it out of the I formation anymore?

Miles they also have a Troy like lost on their resume
Nope.
Right now we are outside the top 60 in passing yards per play(65th) and outside the top 60(81st) in rushing yards per play. Wanna take a guess how many time that happened under the antiquated miles? It rhymes with hero

It is unacceptable to lose 3 sec games three years in a row. Yes. When Eddie loses three once(won’t be any time soon fwiw) come find me.
Posted on 10/31/18 at 9:56 pm to earl keese
If miles has beaten those teams they would have one more loss and therefore lower ranking. You are rewarding the coach for losing to those team bc they now have a better ranking. What would UGA be ranked if we lost to them? What about state? Then we could talk about how tough the schedule was bc we had lost to these highly ranked teams. No. That dog don’t hunt. You wanna beat them and have them ranked lower. Not lose to them and then say they were good bc they have a win that should have been a L.

Miles was 6 wins, 5 losses to Arkansas and lost his last 2 to them. Totally unacceptable. Miles record against Ole Miss was 7 wins, 4 losses. Some of those losses are unacceptable, some aren't.
Mississippi State.
But I'm sure that's an unacceptable won/loss record in your eyes.

They want to bring up the Troy game, well the last two coaches y'all highly praise Saban and Miles they also have a Troy like lost on their resume.
Please list the game that Miles lost that was a "Troy like loss."

He lost two in only six games in 16, two last year plus a Sun Belt loss, and isn’t out of the woods to lose less than three yet this year. According to you A&M is a very dangerous game and obviously Alabama is no gimmie.
I hope I won’t be looking for you in a few weeks, but it certainly could be here before you know it

AtM is a Losable game. Miles would lose to them. O won’t. Miles woulda lost the auburn game for sure.

I don't really disagree with this at all.

Losing 3 sec games is better than losing 2 sec games, a mid major( hadnt happened in 15 years) and ND team that needed every bit of effort to beat navy and wake forrest. Imo

Miles wouldnt have lost to florida in 2016 or this year, troy last year, or notre dame last year.
See we can both make claims that neither of us can prove

I think you mean Florida in '16 there Ricky.

Miles loses games to .500 team making them five and three in the confercene instead of four and four and they eek out a ranking at seasons ends and his defenders use that to say he played tough teams. When in reality he should have beaten the merely average team and then they woulda been not ranked. unbelievable. You lose to a squad you should beat and then say look at their record. They are good. Lol no.
Posted on 10/31/18 at 10:09 pm to Rickdaddy4188
Miles did get a run of weak Florida teams didn’t he. Mullen gonna have Uf playing better than nearly all their coaches since spurrier. Only Meyer.

Miles was the best coach against Auburn in modern LSU history, Florida as well. He was 8-4 against Auburn with two wins at JH.
You really do just talk out of your arse don’t you

It goes both ways. People use the games in their argument that help prove their position. It's the same as people using last year being Coach O's first year and him taking over a rebuild as reasons he lost games. Yet, this year when we lose to Florida, they're a good team. Mullen in his first year at UF and he took over a MUCH worse situation.

Said the guy touting miami and auburn wins.
Regardless hopefully after this season we can for a fact say O has righted the ship and proven he has the program headed in the right direction.
As of right now we need to be thanking our lucky stars that Urban Meyer had 2 stud qbs. Props to O for bringing in Burrow. Id hate to see this offense with Myles.
