the "It’s one game" narrative is lazy and tired

We cannot hit LHPs. We will never beat a team who has a great LHP. Until we fix this issue, as well as the bullpen issues, we're not going anywhere.

Feel free to blast away with "the sky is falling" jokes, but it's a fact.

If we don't start hitting LHP's, we will be middle to bottom of the pack SEC.

It's pathetic

But Matt Moscona said the narrative that we can’t hit left handers is a lie!

Even thought the stats back it up

We have to get right handed bats in the lineup.

Kling
Frey
Pinch hit Merrifield when needed

Didn't we beat aTm when they had some lefties out there?

It's a weakness but y'all act like we suck because we are struggling vs. lefties.

But they don't lol. Today we faced two friday night left handed pitchers and struggled. That's going to happen.

statistically we are not, by any stretch of the imagination, bad at hitting left handed pitching.

This same Arkansas team lost by 12 to TCU and 9 to Eastern Illinois. Yes it is just one game.

We can check the BA against LHP after this game. Recently it was around .260 compared well over .300 against RHP.

yes we did - because aTm couldn't throw a strike

New Orleans lefty was shoving it up our arse until they yanked him. Central Arkansas was throwing 80 mph from the left side and we barely could hit him

Well it’s true. It ultimately has no bearing on any future game

Recently it was around .280 compared to .380.

Today, we faced 2 of the better left handed arms we will face all year. It will skew the stats, especially since we've had about 3x as many at bats against righties.

Unfortunately some don't want to realize this truth and not to mention what we saw today was two big league lefties.

I agree with the narrative that we should have had Kling in the lineup today and potentially Frey at DH.

why else do you think every single team we have faced pitches all lefties now? do you think these head coaches are just doing that for shits and gigs?

When it’s this early in the season it’s not “lazy and tired”. If we keep seeing the same trends, then we can better understand the losses that we do have. Regardless, no reason to be angry at this loss. It’s pretty understandable how it happened.

Don't hate this, but to be fair our lefties actually faired better than our righties today.

Not only was it just one game, but it was one game against one of the best teams we'll face all season. Chill, brah.

I mean yea it seems likely that any team that can string together thirty innings of top tier left-handed pitching has the potential to sweep us, I’m not sure this is particularly useful information for anyone though
