I still consider LSU the best team or at least tied as the #1 team for the 2011 season. I know the Gumps won the rematch in the Superdome, which is a far cry from a home game in Death Valley. I saw about 40-45 % Gumps for the NC game in the Superdome.
We beat the Gumps on their home field. We can argue all day that because they didn't win the west and didn't win the SEC Championship that they should not have had the opportunity to play in the NC game.
However, if you want to break it down, LSU beat the Gumps and the Gumps beat Us. LSU actually ended the season with the best record in the Country. IMO it was a Shared NC and I am still super proud about how our team did that year. We beat 8 Ranked teams, while Alabama beat a low 4 ranked teams.
LSU easily had the better season. The Gumps got the last laugh, but they know in the back of their minds, at least the ones with IQ's above 85 that we were a fun team to watch, a dominate team to watch, and if the NC game would have been in Death Valley, we would have won, or, if we played another game we would have won.
But I don't care about what the Gumps did.
Like I said I am more than Proud about LSU's 2011 season and countless wins over ranked teams. It was a season to remember in all football history as the Honey Badger made College Football fun to watch. LSU obviously had the more exciting better season than any other team in the Nation.
The Gumps must Bow before LSU for the 2011 season!

That Copeland run was the one of the best I've ever seen. Couldn't believe the big guy could barrel over defenders AND outrun them too. The way that game ended made me glad Chavis and his pervert defense are gone from LSU.
